Did you know that yesterday, 4/18, was #nationalbananaday ?
Here’s the 411: My first time checking out Beehive left me underwhelmed after much praise. Are they a restaurant? A diner? Both the aesthetic and menu showed me this struggle.
Also what to eat? I’m worried about salad (romaine) and I’m worried about omelets (eggs). Not to sound alarmist, but with the recalls and my recent illness, I’m hesitant these days, especially when eating out.
Asked for Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, which are customer favorites, but they are not on the menu since they are considered specials.
I then asked for blueberry pancakes, only to be told thereafter that the kitchen had no blueberries.
Hence, my third choice of banana macadamia nut buttermilk flapjacks.
Three enormous pancakes; had I known how big they were, I could’ve ordered a single. What’s worse? Terrible coffee.
I did spot someone’s spanakopita and finally surmised they must be Armonk’s answer for Greek. Or are they? IDK 😐
I prepped some golden & red beets and brussel sprouts this morning. I was so glad to have them easily accessible for lunch. Using parchment paper makes the cooking/cleanup experience so quick and easy. What vegetables are you making, reheating or ordering today?
Slice 79: You know you want chicken, but do you want the BBQ, CBR, or Buffalo from Roberto’s Pizza & Pasta in New Rochelle?! Side note: Tomorrow marks the 20th anniversary of Roberto’s Pizza & Pasta, which is no easy feat by a pizzeria in Westchester. We all know that if you don’t make the cut (by making good pizza) you won’t be around long in this county. Westchesterites expect and deserve the best when it comes to pizza! Also, have them bring pizza to you with their mobile pizza truck @lildomsny #sliceofwestchester
