Healthier breakfast option ... sweet potato with a little honey, no salt, very tiny dash of brown sugar and green beans marinaded in extra virgin olive oil, garlic, and a slight dash of salt. -

You don’t get to where you’re going by comparisons. “Comparison is the thief of joy” was a game changer for me in 2017. I’d spent the previous few years reconstructing my life. From lost to loved, from glutton to gospel.
One of my close friends whom I’ve looked at as a fine example of a virtuous lady, extreme in discipleship, an all around delight and “faultless” before my eyes, recently shared with me a private battle. Her husband was having an affair with a mutual friend and had left her. I was mind blown, first by her attitude about the whole thing. She was not spiritually shaken. Second, by the fact that I’d been admiring a life from the outside, unable to see the inside.
We cried together. We shared experiences. We smiled and bore testimony together. We proved what women are.
And...shocker...I still admire her.
It is another testament to me that we never truly know what is going on in others’ lives. We could always say “I wish I had more of that” or “I wish I was skinny like her” or “I wish my husband did the dishes like him” but if we truly knew all the deets, we’d stop comparing. Our hill to climb will never be someone else’s and to wish for “something more” will steal the joy we should have NOW.
Get where you’re going.
Do it your way.
Love this from @thedietdocweightloss. How our emotions impact how we live and the decisions we make are incredibly insightful. @koriprobst helps us understand how and what we are feeling in order to reach our goals and live our best life.
What’s your daily morning routine? What is the first thing you consume at the start of the day? For me- about 8oz of fresh juice from the raw fruits and vegetables- before intaking any solids.
Don’t underestimate the power and goodness you can get out of juicing. Every time you juice fresh fruits and vegetables, you are providing your body with powerful liquid sunshine. Not only does it tastes great, it also revitalizes you and restores you to proper health and vitality. Now- of course there is the “sugar” content factor for those of you who may ask. Reality is, sugar occurs naturally in vegetables and fruits and really in everything you can find- but it provides a healthier alternative to foods with added sugars, such as cakes, pastries, processed foods, etc. The secret here is to consume in moderation and adjust and substitute based on the needs of your body.
Happy Juicing everyone. 🍍🥦🥕🍋🍊.
“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.” - Thomas Campbell.
Today we said farewell to one of our own. And in true @kate.pomeroy fashion we did it wearing purple, holding sonic screwdrivers and with our hearts full of love. It was beautiful. We even got to send her off with messages written in Gallifreyan.
So tonight, tell your loved ones what they mean to you and make those hugs just a little bit tighter, because you never know what’s around the corner or when the chance will be taken away from you.
Oh, and check your boobs.
Signs of being too hard on yourself include excessive self-blame, self-criticism, negative self-judgement, self-punishment, and dwelling on your mistakes or flaws. Additionally, you may overlook or discount your positives.
If that sounds like you, it is detrimental to your wellbeing and it's important to stop it. Here are some ideas on how to do that.
