45,000 steps walked yesterday averaging 20,000 a day - It may not seem like a hugely impactful activity but sitting down is regressive and will negatively affect posture and make you feel tired whereas walking is taking little steps in the right direction for both posture and energy levels - listen to a podcast, music or an audiobook, walk instead of using the bus or car and go out and get your vitamin D #ItsAllGoodForYou#LittleChanges
#tbt ❤️ - "Eu estava dormindo depois do plantão no hospital São Camilo e, no meio da tarde, acordei morrendo de frio! Quando levantei, estava olhando o meu facebook e li dentre outras coisas que aquela noite seria a madrugada mais fria desse inverno e que na noite anterior vários moradores de rua morreram de hipotermia. Nisso, vários amigos comentavam e mandavam links de locais de abrigo para entregar agasalhos e mantas. Foi aí que eu me dei conta de que eu tinha vários agasalhos que nem usava mais. Levantei empolgado e convicto de que precisava fazer parte disso.
Peguei o carro e fui dar uma volta pelas redondezas, isso era quase 19h e foi quando decidi o lugar: fui para baixo da ponte da Av. do Estado e me deparei com um moço jovem de moletom sentado enquanto outros 2 dormiam. Com cautela me aproximei, perguntei se ele ainda sentia frio. Ele se levantou e veio em minha direção, sorrindo, dizendo que estava congelando. Peguei a melhor jaqueta que eu tinha e entreguei a ele. Peguei ainda mais duas que tinha no carro e entreguei para que ele desse aos dois amigos dele que estavam dormindo. Ele agradeceu timidamente, desejei boa noite e sai dali. Me senti muito bem, revigorado, não sei explicar, uma sensação de fazer o bem sem ter nada. Acho que não custa nada fazer essas coisas simples, faz muito bem ao coração e à alma. Com toda certeza farei isso mais vezes e em breve".

When everything looks the same but different. When you take time to make little changes throughout your life to alter how things weigh and swing without changing the shape or course. Nobody can really tell what’s different, but that’s part of what makes the changes so wonderful - they are all for yourself. .
I cut my own hair. Nothing huge, no one can really tell what I’ve done, but thinning it out has given it new life. It feels so much better, and I feel less bedraggled than I did before. I thought I needed a whole new cut but only had to make a few adjustments. And I’m proud to say I did it myself. Not a pro job at all, but not bad, I’d say. The boost in my confidence for having done something for myself and for having improved how I physically feel is pretty darn great. .
I get the irony of sharing my changes, but I hope it encourages someone else to make little changes in their lives too.
I made these power truffles today by throwing random snacks from my cupboards into my blender. Brought to you by laziness, and munchies.
Handful of dried coconut, handful of nuts, and a few chocolate chips in a Blender; chop em and set aside.
Add a couple big scoops of nut butter to the blender, some flax seed, scoop of protein powder, handful of dried coconut, handful of dates, and half the mixed bits from before. Blend until incorporated (will be chunky af). Move to a bowl and mix in about 1 1/2 cups of oatmeal and granola (whatever ration you like). I found the right consistency was when the mix was heavy enough to sort of pull away from the spoon on its own so you might need to add more or less, depending on how dense you want your truffles.
Anyways, Scoop into little balls, roll in the other half of the mix, then in cocoa. I’m refrigerating them to see how that works. I’m assuming the freezer would work too but sensitive teeth. 😬

NEWSFLASH::: you actually already do have it within you to push through, to rise above and to make this mess your message.
How!?!!🔐 Well for starters you have to visualize the success you want whether it’s fitness, nutriton or biz!! Close your eyes and act as if you have already accomplished the goal. How will you feel, look and who will be with you.
What about this goal makes you happy and fulfilled?! 📍Everyday visualize that feeling of accomplishment. 📍Next- share the goal with someone who believes in you!! Have them check in with you and give permission for them to call you out when you slack. 📍Take action right now. Not tomorrow, not Monday, not next month BUT RIGHT NOW!! Every single moment you wait for the perfect timing the farther away the success is getting.
There is no perfect timing- it’s right now!!! 📍Focus on what could go right vs what could go wrong. Be optimistic that if your first attempt is met with roadblocks that you will try again!! .
Now go out and make today a life changing day!!! This is the first step of the rest of your life! .

This week is teacher appreciation week at my little kids’ school. I took this photo of a gift basket I made with absolutely no intention of sharing on here. I'm notorious for eating a full meal when I get home from night shift. My stomach is always messed up and food helps me from getting reflux and Im tired so have a hard time stopping once I start. Today I'm going to have a handful of seeds on my way home then straight to bed.
