I always drink protein shake right after my heavy lifting weight workout at the gym, which is probably 4 times a week I would say. And I used to drink whey protein powder for almost two years. Until I was having a medical check up and the doctor said I have a high cholesterol level. My family and I were shocked because it can’t be. I workout 4 times a week, I eat a little seafood other than fish, I don’t consume fried foods that often. I kept thinking why. Until, I discovered that my whey protein is the one who give me that high cholesterol level.

Since that occurrence, I immediately switch to vegan protein powder. As I live in Indonesia, it is quite a bit hard for me to obtain. But luckily, I found @pranaon_id ! Price wise, yes, vegan protein powder is much more expensive than whey, but I don’t want to have cholesterol at this age!

Also, by consuming this vegan protein, I don’t have much bloating as whey did to me. I am more focusing on making lean muscle. That is why I take the Primal Protein. It has 4 complete protein sources: pea, sacha inchi, artichoke, and chia. I personally like the hazelnut cacao better than the vanilla bean but it all comes down to your preference!

This cut is messing with my lifts. I’m trying to remind myself to practice self love and patience on the days where the gravity seems to have been turned up to 11. The ice cream cat socks are definitely helping though. .

This one hurt me so bad. I cried for so long after this. However, I set the team up which was my only goal. I love this team and I almost died for them today (see my last deadlift). Blessed to be #2 in the nation and to have hit finally been drug tested :-) 400 wilks 😍.

Since it is Thursday, I decided to do a throwback Thursday. It is crazy what can be accomplished in a short amount of time. All it takes is hard work and dedication! Do you work hard and have dedication?

El patrón de sentadilla tiene miles de variantes y de utilidades en la planificación de una sesión de entrenamiento. En este caso el ejercicio del pistol squat es una variante muy interesante, ya que brinda múltiples estímulos sensoriales al SNC en su ejecución, es una tarea bastante exigente tanto a nivel muscular (fatiga metabólica) cómo a nivel de control motor.
Es por esto que tanto a nivel postural como de condiciones físicas y de control motor se debe estar preparado para su ejecución adecuada.
Lo más difícil de este movimiento es mantener la pelvis lo más neutra posible, y que se logren los rangos de movilidad activos necesarios para lograr descender por completo.
El consejo con este ejercicio, es no tomarlo a la ligera y prepararse en todas estas condiciones para lograr sacar el máximo potencial a este movimiento sin exponerte a lesiones lumbares, de rodilla o de tobillo.
