I’m in the 260’s!!!!! I haven’t been in the 260’s since i was pregnant from my little one. I lost weight from the morning sickness and dropped down to 250 at one point and just gained and never lost any weight after that. I know i said weigh in only once a month but i was so curios to know where i was at and I’m glad i checked! .
Made myself some #GuevosConSalchicha this morning aka three scrambled eggs and two ball park hot dogs cooked in coconut oil. Today’s going to be a good day :) HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!
Finished my #dafne course this week at #addenbrookeshospital . DAFNE is Dose Adjustment For Normal Eating, and teaches #t1diabetic people, like myself, to better control their blood sugars with accurate carb counting. This also includes better understanding of food, what your body does as a diabetic, how insulin acts, how to deal with real world scenarios such as exercise, alcohol, sick days, unforeseen and special circumstances.
The course was delivered very well by Jacky and Tak from the #wolfsonclinic at @cuhaddenbrookes, and they were very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you!
The quality of your nutrition depends on the quality of your foods 🍽🥗🍔🥘🥢🍏🥦 When it comes to nutrition, it’s always a great idea to choose quality over quantity.
PS. Cambodian food is so great, we had Korean style BBQ but the pineapple fried rice is oh so good 😋 plus it was plated inside the pineapple 🍍 #100DaysToGreenZone#The100DayProject
Up early and in my HAPPY PLACE✨ Pouring into my team & catching up on business -- from home, in my jammies. The GOOD LIFE✌🏼
I love Fridays and I love working from home. Happy Friday, loves!!
🔆 Since the move to the country I have done so many things and haven't had much time to post like I would like to. The garden takes a lot of time and hard work (my hands will never be the same), but it is worth every cut, scrape, bruise, sore muscle and stained hands! I definitely don't have a green thumb so I was a bit skeptical about how my first garden would turn out.. I am finally seeing progress and hopefully it will continue this beautifully 🤞🏻Thank you @sustainableseedco for the amazing seeds. Can't wait to see my very first garden grow.. and to know my family is only putting the healthiest #organicfood in their bodies 🙌
After a year of doing some major soul searching and making a lot of lifestyle changes this quite really spoke to me this morning. First and foremost remember prayer is the answer! #blessed#goals#lifestylechanges#stayfocused
Two years ago I never dreamed this would be my life! Never in a million years did I think I would be sitting in Mexico, surrounded by so many friends I’ve met through social media.
Friends who shares your passion and desire to get healthier and help others. Friends who aren’t judgmental and want to see you succeed in all areas of your life and be your best self. .
Continuing on with our gut health theme this week ( it gets a little personal). How my victory over anxiety started in the kitchen!
My own journey with depression and anxiety has been a long one. Going back to my teenage years there have been ups and downs. I’ve battled with ( just to name a few): ▪️bouts of extreme social anxiety.
▪️extreme irrational worries and fears that have led to insomnia.
▪️worry and extreme nervousness in the midst of perfect and safe environments that I could not explain.
Through learning and studying the very real connection between gut heath , that state of our microbiome and mental health , I have implemented many dietary and lifestyle strategies ( diet, exercise, spiritual practice, supplements) that have brought me to a place that I can say is free from anxiety! Such an amazing place to be! I rejoice and am in awe daily of how good I feel.
Some facts about anxiety, diet and the gut: -when digestion is hindered ( poor dietary choices, stress, overeating, food intolerance, stimulants) it sets off alarms in the nervous system that exacerbate anxiety. -research shows that the gut microbiota directly influences brain chemistry and behaviour. Certain probiotic strains have been proven to help the body cope with stress and reduce anxiety. - recent studies show that PREbiotics ( healthy fibre that feed probiotics) also directly influence anxiety, depression and mood.
I short, whenever addressing mental health - the health of the gut microbiome Should ALWAYS be addressed as well. Eating whole foods, fermented foods and foods with plenty of healthy prebiotic fibre will go a long way in helping the body cope with anxiety, stress and depression.
Lifestyle, stress management and dealing with digestive issues should be looked at as well. More than half of those with digestive disorders also report issues with mental health. There is a strong connection with the two.
This is an area that I am passionate about helping people with and if this resonates with you. I strongly suggest seeking the guidance of a holistic nutritionist to help you improve digestion, optimize gut health and in turn optimize mental health.
Way back when, when I used to be a dancer, I would always quote my coach who’d say ‘no contraction without release’ 🌼
In other words, you can’t keep going at full speed without a moment to #chilloutmom
And it sounds impossible, it sounds like your life is too crazy to find the time to relax
Because when you first become a mom, you switch to being on the clock constantly (3hrs since the last feed, nap in 20min, just enough time to do a quick grocery run etc). This causes so much internal rush that you feel like you have to be in constant movement #gogogo
But seriously...the release will allow you to contract. It will create headspace. And you’ll get some relief from your internal rush
Try it this weekend: time to RELEASE! Sit and do NOTHING for a change 😱 Who’s with me? 💛 #hearttojointheparty
It still feels like a dream... To be rewarded for helping others and being able to experience THIS - is indescribable.
I was reminiscing on the past 5 days this morning and just started bawling. The emotions are hard to put into words, because I still don't know how I got so lucky.
The people you see in our photos...
The memories created...
The laughs, tequila shots, workouts, moments on the beach, and parties... Feeling all the feels and couldn't be more grateful to work for a company that treats us like royalty. BLESSED to know the kindest and most giving people in my tribe. Thank you @jaimeinnis + @steveinnis for showing me what is possible every single day. @amcguire87 + @courtney__wilson__ I am SOO proud of you ladies for earning this trip as well and I cannot wait for more HappyHealthyHumble girls to join us NEXT YEAR!! xoxox
This is only the beginning... #happyhealthyhumble
“And one day she discovered that she was fierce, and strong, and full of fire, and that not even she could hold herself back because her passion burned brighter than her fears.” – Mark Anthony💖
Day 4- Leg Day is done! ✅Today’s workout was a challenge, especially since I was a little ambitious with my initial weight choice. I thought to myself, I did 80 Day Obsession, this should be easy! But, man I was wrong – doing something for 10-15 reps is TOTALLY different than doing it for 30 seconds to a 1 full minute! 😳
So, I went down a little bit in weight and was able to complete every move with proper form. Sometimes you have to make adjustments to get the best out of whatever it is you may be doing. 🙌🏼💕
Now to finish this work day strong and get ready for Fri-Yay festivities.🌸
