Different diets call for different macros 🧐
My mom recently started up on a Keto diet and is looking for ways to add healthy fats into her meals. This is her bowl from @eatfreshkitchen on our last visit that loaded with steak and guacamole which are both good sources of fat🥩🥑. For the base, she went with Kale to keep the total carbs down👇🏾.Like one of my recent post, this just shows how easy it is to work your meals into your diet when you dine out🗣!
Quick and simple keto cheese “bread sticks”. These little babies contain zero flour, and were surprisingly delicious! I made half as “cheese bread” and the other half as pepperoni basil pizza (not shown)
Cauliflower rice, Brussels sprouts, onions, green beans with sausage and shrimp! Seasoned with chilli flakes, garlic powder and soy sauce(all fried in bacon grease). I don't even know what to call this, but it's sooooo good! #keto#lowcarb#lchf#delish
Breakfast and lunch today. Forgot to take a pic of dinner before I scarfed it.
Breakfast:: fried kale, turkey bacon, eggs, leftover Alfredo sauce.
Lunch:: cucumber, low carb tortilla fried up crispy, salmon/avocado/pickle dip stuff. YUM.
Dinner:: burger (bunless obvs) with bacon, cauliflower rice and some cucumbers.

▪️Evite o máximo possível ofertar açúcar para as crianças. Você pode “achar” que ela não vai gostar de determinados alimentos naturais, mas lembre-se, provavelmente é você que já está com o paladar alterado.
▪️Minha recomendação é que o consumo de açúcar seja zero! Não existe nenhum benefício em consumir açúcar, pelo contrário.
▪️Você pode comer uma sobremesa, um chocolate ou um docinho EVENTUALMENTE, quando estiver com seu peso controlado e com uma rotina alimentar saudável. Mas não se engane! Tome sempre muito cuidado pra não ser “dominado” pelo açúcar.

“Don’t fast food” they said. “Fasting will make you lose muscle mass” they said. Keto is “unhealthy” they said. Well...do I look like I’m losing muscle mass to you? My arms are actually a half centimeter bigger now than they were when I weighed over 300lbs. As far as Keto being “unhealthy” if that was true then how in the world could I go from being fully diabetic with an HBA1C of close to 10 down to a constant level below 5.3? If Keto is “unhealthy” then how in the world am I healthier at 51 according to my lab work and medical tests than I was at 30 years old? No...I was “unhealthy” when I followed the doctors/nutritionists advice and ate the standard American diet (SAD...how appropriate) that is full of killer sugar and carbs. So keep on hating while I keep on praising God for bringing Keto in my life. He could have healed me outright but through this keto journey I’ve discovered things in me that were hidden that now have been exposed to HIS light and I wouldn’t change a thing! This graph represents my weight since first adopting a ketogenic lifestyle mid 2017. Had it not been for the stressful life event in Jan 2018 (adopting a very sick kitten- Bax- which totally de-railed me) my loss would have been over 20kgs. I re-gained 9kgs in 5 mths by returning to poor eating, but in the almost 3 weeks since returning to Keto, I have already shed 4.1kg. I feel about a zillion times healthier, brighter, more focused and happier too.
I’m not a huge fan of the scales, they don’t tell the full story (ie all the NSV’s) and weight loss isn’t linear, nor is it my only goal- but it’s good to check in and I will do so occasionally. For me though, this isn’t a diet. I’m not doing it to lose weight then return to the crappy SAD way of eating. This IS a lifestyle, so the weight will come off when it comes off and I’ll just keep turtling on 💪
What a weird rollarcoaster mood day! But its wrapping up better than it began, thank God. Unfortunately my dinner choices last night in a time crunch (1.5 pieces of pizza and literally 1 12oz beer) have left me sick all day long. Not fun! I am gonna remember this when bread tempts me ever again. Still, life goes on! Lunch was tasty although it looks weird. Stats provided. Snack so far was a very watered down iced coffee. Dinner will be on point too!
I am also on point today too. I told a toxic person that I will indeed NOT be coming to their 10 year in a row Memorial Day Picnic and I am gonna do my own thing on the 4th of July too. I prayed on it all day long and I feel in my heart that these last few months of this wellness journey is God telling me that its time for Chris and myself to truly begin our lives. I am doing my own lowcarb picnic afterall, with my husband and my dog and hopefully a few fishing poles. This year begins US!!!! Anna enjoyed the warmth of the sun today doing some serious Pug-bathing, and I felt clear enough in my mind finally to break out the camera off my back deck and capture some wild bunnies. Can't wait to edit these!

☑️1 Abobrinha verde média picada em cubos pequenos ☑️5 tomates cereja picadinhos
☑️1 Cebola picadinha
☑️Meia Xícara de parmesão ralado ☑️Sal e pimenta do reino a gosto
☑️2 Colheres de sopa cheia de farelo de aveia (ou farinha de aveia)
☑️1 Colher de sopa cheia de polvilho doce (ou goma de Tapioca) ☑️3 Ovos batidos
☑️2 dentes de alho amassados
☑️1 Colher de sopa cheia de azeite ☑️1 Colher de chá de fermento royal ➡️Modo de fazer
Misture tudo para incorporar, menos o fermento que deve ser colocado por último.
Colocar numa forma untada e assar em forno pré-aquecido a 200 graus por 35 minutos (lembrando que cada forno é diferente) .
