Les Artisans du Champagne.
After a fantastic night of wines it was back to work in a packed Les Crayeres.
Pierre Peters Reserve Oubliee. Touch of soft fudge on the nose. Dry, white pepper on the palate. I really enjoyed the gentle play of oxidation. Yummy!
Hure Freres. I struggled to pick a winner between Memoirs and 4 Elements Pinot Noir. Both had this wonderful sweet, exotic fruit on the nose. Memoirs showed a luscious blackcurrant note. So much energy and that pert fruit on the finish had you licking your lips. 4 Elements was more gripping, mineral and saline. In need of time but fabulous.
Vilmart's Coeur de Cuvee 2010. You felt the oak a touch more than normal but there was this delicious lemon curd note on the finish that completely won me over.
Marc Hebrart Noces de Craie 2012. Made from Ay. I first tried this last year and was completely won over. Every wine he makes is awesome but I loved the texture, creamyness, fruit and acidity of this Cuvee. So drinkable now but will age beautifully.
Savart Le Mont Benoit 2013. Fred's wines were all great but the LMB stood out for it's grip and salinity without compromising of wonderful fruit.
Pierre Paillard Les Maillerettes 2012. Rich red fruits, fantastic delivery the whole way along the palate. Really good.
Dehours Lieu dit Brisefer 2008. Utterly delicious! Buttered croissants. Bright, energetic. The grip and salinity on the finish brings it home nicely.
Alfred Gratien Brut Millesime 2005. Quite possibly the most drinkable 2005 out there for me. Tropical fruit on toast. I loved the rambunctious oak and this delicious brioche note.
I constantly see flaws in my cuts & hesitate to post them. But I also see that this is a good haircut! It’s taken me almost two years to get it to look this good, and it’s no where near perfect. Always learning, always working hard. 💪🏽✂️💈
🎶They call me Mellow Yellow🎶...Wore this early 1960s handmade yellow & grey floral beaut yesterday, with all vintage accessories. Looks like a church outfit c1963 but more like hunting for houseplants all day.
One of my favorite photos.💖 thanks @mauraisabelr for art directing me and being such a wonderful travel bestie/photog/navigator~ 😘💖🌸 PS: we decided to take photos from the side because theres just too many springtime tourists! 😂 #paraparaan
