And the destination that made carrying over 30 lbs on my back for 20 miles, the numerous blisters on my toes, and loss of sleep for 2 nights. Watching the sunset light up the canyons and reflection on the water was definitely a highlight of the year this far for me.

It was an amazing trip filled with spectacular, scenic views and landscapes. Each destination seemed to be more impressive and awe-inspiring than the last.
I’m truly grateful to be able to experience incredible places such as these and I look forward to many more exciting adventures in the future!

Glen Canyon Dam, with Lake Powell on one side and low water levels in the Glen Canyon on the other. The artificially created Lake Powell is the second largest resoivoir in the US, but currently at 50% capacity due to low snowfall totals in the Rocky Mountains the last several years. Environmentalists have long argued the dam should come down.
