Happy Earth Day. 🌏 A good day to remind ourselves to not only show our children the world, but also teach them how to take care of it. What did you do for Earth Day? We’d love to hear about it! 💙💚 #hereadventuring#arkansas @therobertswerehere @buffalorivernps @nationalparkservice
For us, #earthday is truly every day. In 7th grade, I got a book that was titled something like “50 Ways to Save the Earth” and from then on I’ve been driving family and friends crazy with my sometimes over the top need to reduce, reuse, recycle. We compost, we limit plastics and disposables, we scorn plastic straws, we cloth diaper, we pick up trash, we buy only secondhand furniture (or build our own), we try every day to do things to reduce our footprint and make sure this planet stays inhabitable for our children and our children’s children. There is still so much more we can do, and it takes work, dedication and intention. Start small if you have to, but do your part. For our kids’ sake. 💙🌎💚#hudson_monkey
Grateful for the gifts of this beautiful planet every single day 🌍 and we truly soaked in the sunny warmth today, spending hours outside exploring the Salt Marsh Trail and a hidden gem beach 🌿☀️🌊 before topping off the day with another love-filled family celebration for Audrey’s birthday! 🌸🎂
My cup is overflowing 💛
a little throw back of my mountain baby in honor of national park week and earth day! nothing makes me happier than being able to explore all the corners of this planet with my scurvy crew. and i’m hopeful for many, many more years of wandering earth with them by my side. 🌿
Second week of the school holidays already how are we all travelling? Are you having lots of beautiful productive family activities or has your house descended into Lord of the Flies chaos?
Hopefully somewhere in between 😉
Happy Earth Day!
These kids have been roaming wild and free equipped with their bikes and imaginations. Yesterday @backroadbennetts organized an Earth Day Amazing Race - they had to perform tasks like picking up litter or writing a thank you letter to Mother Earth on the dirt with sticks to earn their next clue and the ultimate prize; dirt and worms (gummies and Oreo cup). I hope this is the start of an April tradition for our family. A big thank you to @backroadbennetts and @advodna_dave - I’m not sure I would be able to survive these days solo parenting without them!
Happy Earth day 🌿🌏. I am forever in awe of this beautiful planet we live on, there are so many beautiful places and that’s just the places I’ve seen.
As a family we are learning and trying to do our bit to help our wonderful earth. Recent changes we have made are to get reusable metal straws and wooden toothbrushes. We are still learning lots and trying to help the kids understand as we learn what can be harmful to our planet and how we can help to keep it the beautiful place it should always be ❤️🌏
🌿Life is unpredictable,
It changes with the seasons.
Even your coldest winter,
Happens for the best of reasons,
And though it feels eternal,
Like all you'll ever do is freeze,
I promise spring is coming,
And with it, brand new leaves. 🍃
Their memories of growing up will be so different than mine. While I remember walking to the store alone at 5 years old, me and my friends getting in trouble in school and the occasional vacation in Spain and Austria, she'll remember creekside adventures with her little brother, being sworn in as a junior ranger and driving around looking for bears and bisons. Neither is necessarily better, just so very different.
@dollartree is stepping up their game!
Competing against big stores such as Target 🎯 with their cute designs! Also, just a side note did you know dollar tree stock is worth more at this moment than target.. @dollartree stock is in the $90’s while @target is in the $70’s 😮! Dollar Tree is defiantly doing something right 👊🏻 keep it up!
