Me: I’m walking before we leave for Old Grandma’s. Are you coming?
Grace: No. it’s too hot to be walking.
Me: it’s not too hot. It’s nice out.
Allie: can you put down the car windows?
Me: It’s too hot to walk, so you’re going to sit in the hot sun in the hot car?!?
Girls: well, yes. Where else would we go?
Me: How about in the house in the air conditioning?
Girls: no! It’s too scary in the house when you’re not home.
Me: Then walk with me.
Girls: NO! It’s too hot!

This bundle of cuteness is my little niece and everytime I see this pic it makes me want to scoop her up and cuddle her til she pops. The ultimate in body confidence, she rocks her rolls like the Queen she is. My prayer for her is that she grows into a woman who always has time to laze around naked (apart from a hat cos ummm Sun Safety peeps) revelling in the wondrous creation She is. Girl Power done right!
Everyone needs an easy dinner night sometimes in order to keep sane and this close to the school holidays I know that I need an easy calm mealtime just as much as the kids do, how did things get so hectic?! On days like this it's been good to have a meal on hand that is easy to prepare and that tastes good too. These Southern Fried Grills from @birdseyeuk are made with 100% chicken breast and have no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives which sounds like winning to me!
Everybody loves a man that can cook! Loving the pride in this little face as he learns the value in finishing what he started. Not only that, but in this baking process, the following was achieved:
1. Quality Time with mama.
2. Busting stereotypes about a women's place being in the kitchen.
3. Learning the value of cooking your own nutritious meals at home.
This little world changer is Cole, and he's cooking up a storm all the way in Durban, South Africa.
Way to go Coley-Pie. Let's cheer him on!
