Apple Cider Vinegar Tea Recipe🍎☕️🍋
ACV has tons of benefits - it balances your body’s pH levels, it acts as a natural cleanse by killing bacteria, improves digestion, etc etc.🙌🏻 I drink it because it helps me with my digestive system. HOWEVER it has recently been marketed as a product that will “melt away the fat” which is NOT what happens people!!🚫 but it is packed with enzymes and vitamins in their rawest form, making it great for cleansing🍃
• ⬇️RECIPE BELOW⬇️
1. 2 tbsp Organic ACV
2. 8 oz water
3. Fresh lemon or lime🍋
4. 1 packet of stevia (I use it in place of honey but you can use either!) 5. Cinnamon to taste
6. Mint leaves (totally optional just make it a little more tasty)🍃
7. Mix with your favorite tea (my current favorite is lemon ginger)😋 •
Then this happened. I had a routine laparoscopy. The procedure was supposed to last a mere 1.5 hours but it turned into a 4 hour ordeal. Those smiles you see on our faces are genuine relief smiles. We were so glad things went well despite unforeseen complications.
That day, I had to get clear about my health. I knew I had some gut issues and had dealt with endometriosis before. Last time I had surgery, I didn’t walk away with an understanding of how what I was eating was affecting my body. This time, I was determined to learn all I could about what makes endometriosis worse and what I could control to make sure I didn’t end up here again. After all my research, I had good news and bad news. The good news was I found something that looked like it would work. The bad news was that it was the keto diet 😟 to be continued...
Part of my morning routine! My 2.5 year old helps me make my BPC every morning! I just found these awesome sweetener packets and MCT oil (not mixed with palm oil which is a plus) at Wegmans yesterday! My BPC is 2 tablespoons of heavy cream 1 tablespoon of MCT oil and two packets of monk fruit sweetener (and usually some cinnamon but forgot today)!!! So yummy and so filling! Then I make my BCAAS for my workout and take my magnesium pill, my iron pills, and a multivitamin (not pictured)! BCAAS are branch chain amino acids - in an extremely basic explanation they are the building blocks of protein which helps to give your muscles energy and aids in muscle recovery (read up on them)! I take the magnesium because I noticed I wasn't getting enough in a day and I was having troubles with constipation (sorry TMI but it might help someone else) magnesium supports healthy muscles, nerves, your immune system, and bone density! I take a doctor prescribed iron pill because I am someone that has had serious issues with low iron all my life - you can usually get your daily dose of iron from meats and leafy greens but if you find yourself feeling extremely tired and weak - it could be low iron!!! And that's all for now folks, off to the gym!!!
So my nursing instructors pretty much told us yesterday we are all gonna gain weight and definitely not lose any while in nursing school. I know how true this is because I looked like a hot mess after my first year of nursing school. I was swolen all over and my facial skin was so bad. My biggest goal right now is to not allow that to happen this time. Im going into this knowing that if I do nothing else, I am gonna eat right and take care of my body because my health cant take another beating like that. I came out of nursing school on more blood pressure meds than when I went in and developed an arrythmia that is still with me. This time I want to finish in better health than when I started! #determined#discipline#dedication#nursingschoolprobs#beatthebloat#healthimprovement#weightlossjourney#eatclean#trainmean#nurselife#believeittorecieveit#ketolife
