3. Need something sweet? Lily’s dark chocolate is sugar free! Tame that sweet tooth 🧡 (Some Lily’s chocolate have dairy,  so make sure to always check the ingredients)

I think work-boredom makes it a big challenge; it’s terrible to eat bc you’re bored but it’s also challenging to fast when your day is slow as mud. 🥩Steak and eggs
#️⃣Servings: 2
⏳ Preparation time: 10 minutes
⏱Total time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of avocado oil
1 pound sirloin steak
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 eggs
~~~~~~~~
Method: 
1.	Preheat the oven 350 F
2.	Preheat a medium cast-iron skillet over medium heat until hot, about 5 minutes. Increase the heat to high and add the oil. Season the steak with salt and pepper. Place the steak in the skillet and cook, turning once, until well-browned, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer the steak to the skillet to the oven and cook for 5 minutes or more until the desired doneness. 
3.	While the steak is resting, cook the eggs.
4.	Heat 1 skillet. Melt tablespoon of butter. Break the eggs, add salt and pepper, cook until the whites are just set, about 3 minutes. (If you want the yolks to be cooked through, cover with a lid and continue cooking for 2 more minutes) 
5.	Divide the steak and eggs into 2 separate plates and serve hot.

9 months. That is the time lapse between these two photos. It was 8 months ago, I decided to truly find health and wellness. Within those months, there were loads of counting macros, weighing food, sweat - lots of sweat - lifting, swearing, crying, self care and hitting goals. My entire life - mood, mindset, composition- has been altered by this one decision. I have lifted things I never thought possible, ran miles I never would have believed and found a mental and emotional peace I have searched decades for.  51 lbs later and I have no intentions of stopping. KETO AND INTERMITTENT FASTING
So you want to do keto and intermittent fasting?

There are many benefits to doing keto and intermittent fasting together. It makes ieasier to eat in a caloric deficit to lose fat, and also can get you into even deeper ketosis.

BUT first you need to make sure that you are fully keto adapted before implementing intermittent fasting, or else you may feel really terrible at first.

Follow these simple guidelines below to make sure are properly utilizing keto and intermittent fasting together!

GET KETO ADAPTED FIRST
Start off with just keto at first. Once you are used to that and actually adapted then you can think about using intermittent fasting as well. To make sure you are keto adapted follow the strict keto protocol of 75% fats, 20% protein, and 5% or less carb for at least a month. This will give you plenty of time to actually get into ketosis and get past any of the "keto flu" symptoms you may get at the beginning of adaptation.

START INTERMITTENT FASTING W/ KETO
Now that you are keto adapted you can start implementing intermittent fasting. I would recommend following the "lean gains" approach of a 16 hour fast where you consume NO calories and only water, black coffee, and other zero calorie beverages. Then you consume all of your calories in a 8 hour feeding window during the day. This approach will make it easier to eat in a calorie deficit while doing keto because you can eat large satisfying meals during your cut. Not only will it make this easier but since you are fasting it will actually drive you into deeper ketosis. Which is what the ketogenic diet is all about.

Today’s #saladcraving.  We ran out of lettuce at home so I planned something else. BUT, hubby asked me to pick him up a salad from @chickfila. So I decided to get myself a side salad to dress up at home. 💃🏻 I used up a bunch of things that needed to be used up. It has snap peas, the last of my ham and last of my bacon. I really needed to use up my baby tomatoes but decided on the carbs from the peas instead of tomatoes. 💁🏻‍♀️ .

Este sería mi desayuno de casi todos los días. Yo por las carreras de la mañana, que tengo que salir de mi casa a las 7 de la mañana, opto por hacerme los desayunos, muchas veces de toda la semana o hay días que se me olvida y preparo en la noche el del día siguiente.
Al microondas sería la forma rápida, pero cuando lo preparo para toda la semana los hago en los moldes para cupcakes  al horno.

Receta de cada copita:
1 huevo, se bate y se condimenta a gusta
1 salchicha desayuno o pueden utilizar jamón o tocineta (la tocineta si se debe de cocinar previamente)
1/4 Taza de espinaca (otras veces también utilizo zuchinni)
* Todo se pone en una tacita, la que tengan a mano y lo meten al microondas un minuto y medio*
Las empacan o las guardan en algún recimiente y al día siguente lo calienta yyyyy saben como recién hechas.

Stuffed courgette (stuffed with a creamy mushroom risotto made using Shritaki zero carb rice) and a pork, fennel and chilli mix.

This meal took me to utopia and back. Absolutely delish. The risotto was like the real thing. The trick to making the perfect Shritaki noodles, rice, pasta or whatever have you is to never overcook. For this, Contrary to making a regular risotto with arborio rice where you cook the rice first and add all your condiments, add the Shritaki rice last to your creamy mix and simmer for a minute tops.

Fennel is to pork What mint is to lamb. Perfect match.

Sliced me some pork shoulder steaks into strips.

And the answer to that question is yeah I’m perfect with where I’m at, but at this point it’s not about the weight loss. My energy levels have never felt better. My hunger and food fixation is at an all time low. I don’t eat myself into food comas even when I do sit down for a meal. And I can function on less sleep, when I wake up my brain is ready to tackle the day. .

So why not continue ? I’m in this for the long run. Following a keto diet is starting to gain more and more attention and popularity. It’s effect is being more and more studied in regards to curbing cancers, reversing diabetes, Alzheimer’s, heart disease, epilepsy, arthritis, mental disease , the list goes on and on.
