WHAT A WEEKEND! This weekend I competed in my first weightlifting meet and holy shit was the experience incredible. 6 months ago I learned how to snatch and yesterday I finished with a 49kg snatch and 60kg clean and jerk for a 109kg total AND went 6/6 for my lifts!!! So many shoutouts for people I couldn’t fathom doing this without: @movemassrunfast @olytrick @eak610 @cvrien @emilygard_ and everyone at @ternweightlifting and @terncrossfit who quickly accepted me and never stops encouraging and inspiring me every damn day. But honestly, I’m going to give myself the biggest shoutout. I’ve never worked so hard for something in my life. Training 5X a week while working 2 jobs and starting a masters sounded humorous in January but the payoff is well worth it. I set goals, crushed them, and won’t look back. I can’t wait to see what’s in store. @keeppulling 💚 #snatch#cleanandjerk#oly#olympicweightlifting#keeppulling#girlswholift
#MCM // Words cannot describe how proud I am of my best friend for leading #TeamGreen to another successful meet this past weekend with @keeppulling 🏋🏻♀️💚🍊
It never ceases to amaze me how coolly you handle numerous athletes at once, how you manage everyone’s unique goals and personalities, how excited you get for your Team, how you never stop smiling, how you can keep going after hours on your feet, how goddamn smart you are ... 🤓🤷🏻♀️
I love you and am lucky to call you mine ❤️😍 #TeamGreen#KeepPulling#TernUp#FlockingAwesome#TBSC1#TampaWL
Every meet has its own plan! I haven’t competed since July, and I’ve had some confidence issue with my lifts, “the plan” was to be conservative in the snatch and make all 3. After that I was told to put whatever I wanted on the bar for my Clean & Jerk. Plans don’t always work but today everything finally started clicking. 3 for 3 in Snatch 75/77/81kg for a Meet PR tie. 3 for 3 in Clean & Jerk 105/108/111kg for a double Meet PR. Finished will a 192kg Total which is a 4kg PR , and I won the @keeppulling Technique award for going 6 for 6. Here is the secret that I learned today. Trust the process, trust the plan, trust your Coach, and most of all TRUST YOURSELF! I can’t thank the incredible people enough that helped me today. @schneiderca my training partner/partner in crime for all she does for me. @camargo_oly @olyconcepts @steakfri for all the coaching and help over the weekend, @keeppulling for putting on a great event, and @movementupgraded for taping my up! Congrats to all the Lifters in our session this morning . It was an honor to share the platform with you. #beachsidebarbell#olyconcepts#teamoc#keeppulling#usaw#olympicweightlifting#snatch#clean#jerk#PR#timetoeat#6for6#greatfull#trusttheplan#trainwithapurpose#tbsc1
I wish I could say I did well yesterday. It was euphoric saying I went 6/6 at nationals last year. Almost a year later, I bombed out of the snatch at this meet. Taking a step back though, I can’t really be too upset about it. I’m rusty on the stage since it’s literally been a year since I’ve competed. I haven’t taken any time off between 3 training cycles and the CrossFit Open mixed up in that. My body is so tired to the point that I can’t get stronger. I could come up with excuse after excuse but at the end of the day a bomb out is a bomb out. I’ve heard it happens to everyone at some point 🤷🏻♀️Here’s to bigger and better things coming up though. Very thankful for everyone that came out and supported. I appreciate your cheers and belief in me regardless of my performance 🎉
In no particular order, THANK YOU:
@epicbodywork for my singlet and keeping my body as safe as possible.
@category5athletics @cat5_lebo77 for taking me under your wing as a lifter. You are an amazing and inspiring group of individuals and I couldn’t be more proud and happy to be lifting with this team and coach.
@annab.103 for being the best cousin ever keeping my chin up all while lifting as well and WINNING THE 48KG DIVISION YAAA!! @chuckfisch for keeping me smiling as much as possible 💕
@cigarcitycrossfit community, for never failing to show up and being the loudest in the crowd.
If anything good came out of this, it’s confirmation that I have the best support system out there. Love you all so so much!

2 of 3 100kg/220lbs singles from yesterday. These were terrible lifts...slow...out of position...very little leg drive...but I made them. I'll dial the snatch back in soon, but strength is still the focus for now.
Where do I begin... This last training cycle has been rough. I struggled with difficulties both physically and mentally. I have had knee pain since November, my lifts felt off, and I was beginning to get frustrated. We came into this meet with the goal of just trying to go 6/6, not necessarily worrying about numbers, and gaining my confidence back. I didn't PR my lifts or my total, but I had fun, my lifts felt like the best they have in a long time, and I went 5/6. That's a win in our books. I'm once again so incredibly thankful for @lp_526 for being my rock during my training and meets as well as the the whole @olyconcepts crew. @coach_prufer was great! Now here's to saying bye to 58kg, onto massing, and getting strong as fuh! . .
In a last minute turn of events, this crossfitter stepped onto the platform. 🏋🏻♀️ Thanks so much to @lindsaycrossfits @cchambs @jesslifts1985 for the guidance and pep talks during my first weightlifting meet. ❤️💪🏼Let’s do it again soon. 😈 #9nation#cf9barbell#keeppulling#tbsc1
So today went relatively good. I’ve been training really hard these last couple of months. Working 11-12 hard general labor to walking into the gym at 7 pm to train and finishing at 9 to eat stretch and sleep, wake up at 530 and repeat. My mindset is changing and I’m hungry to do better. Life takes you through ups and downs, rough patches to show you you’re a little stronger than you think.. I definitely wouldn’t be able to come as far in this life, in this sport without all of my supporters/support system.
With nationals on the way we look for more
125, 130, 134x (unofficial state record attempt)
145,150, 160x ( 3 kilo cj attempt 5 kilos away from the state record)
280 total, if 34 and 60 would have been made total would be 294.. 1 kilo under the state total record bw 75.4 #goals#staterecordchasing#77kg#flelite#usaweightlifting#apesquad#sweetgainez#keeppulling
