I don’t know about you guys, but when I used think of “healthy” I used to think complicated with a ton of ingredients and let me tell ya something people I’m not the chef in the house I leave that up to the bf✋🏼
With this warmer weather showing up late to the game, I was craving a nice big salad of health, but also something simple I could whip up. I found this recipe from a YouTuber I watch, but put my own little spin on it👇🏼

i hate wearing shorts to the gym but these are just so cute and comfortable that sometimes i have to push myself out of what’s comfortable 😂 today i’m doing little touch ups at the gym (things like lower abs, calves, etc). i have been doing @marillewellyn ‘s 2nd gym guide and it is kicking my 🍑!! today is week 1, day 3 of the guide and wow!! im used to like 1.5 hour long workouts and these get me in the gym and working for 35-40 minutes and sore like i have never been before😂
I'm going to say something that might shock you.⠀
People always ask me "How do you stay motivated?"⠀
Want to know the truth?⠀
Because here's the thing -⠀

Motivation is fleeting.⠀
Some days you are going to feel motivated to get to the gym, prepare your meals and stop at one brownie instead of eating the whole pan.⠀
Other days you might feel like nothing is working and like you want to give up.⠀
No one feels motivated 100% of the time.⠀
But if no one feels motivated 100% of the time - how can we get the results we desire?⠀
Being disciplined and accountability are the KEYS to reaching your goals.⠀
Discipline is what is going go get you up in the morning to hit the gym. Discipline is what is going to get you to adhere to your nutrition plan so that you can reach your goals.⠀
And let me be clear - discipline isn't being perfect 100% of the time - it's about committing to being better and better every single day.⠀

My Sunday funday so far has consisted of running errands with a trip to good ol’ Wally World and then grocery shopping because ya girl has got to eat 💪🏼
It’s also the most beautiful day here in Mass and I’m hoping it stays around because I’m over the whole snowing shit 🤨

#throwback to this delicious recipe! Try it out tonight for dinner and experience the bliss of brown butter and tender green beans.
Brown Butter Tossed Green Beans
3 cups green beans, trimmed
4 teaspoons butter
1/4 teaspoon light salt
Prepare a pot with a steamer basket set over water. Add green beans, cover, and steam 3-5 minutes or until crisp-tender. Remove from heat and uncover.
Place a stainless sauté pan over high heat and add the butter. Cook, swirling pan occasionally, until butter begins to brown and develop a nutty scent. The butter will be golden with little brown flecks in it. Carefully add the steamed green beans.
Turn the beans in the butter, and cook for an additional 30 seconds, until beans get browned in places. Remove from heat, sprinkle with salt, and continue tossing for another 30 seconds or until beans are well-coated.

Usually I wait to do my workout after I get out of work around 9:30pm but my gym isn’t open 24 hours over the weekend so I made sure I got it done this morning 💪🏼
I’ve only been making it to the gym 3-4 times a week because #life but honestly I’m totally okay with that. I used to feel so guilty not going 6x a week, but I literally ran my body into the ground and it suuuucked 😖

Let's talk #antibiotics and #guthealth ⠀
I (unfortunately) had to go on antibiotics for about a week recently.⠀
And while antibiotics can be incredibly helpful and life saving, they can also create a not so ideal environment in our body (especially our gut).⠀
Antibiotics work by killing off bad bacteria that causes infection, unfortunately antis also kill the good bacteria too.⠀
When the good bacteria in your gut gets killed off, things like yeast (candida), and fungus can take over (yick!).⠀
One way to combat this and to help your gut during this time is to take a quality probiotic 2x per day (away from food -- 1 in the AM and 1 in the PM).⠀
You should also load up on fermented foods like yogurt, kefir, or sauerkraut. You can also ferment your own foods OR find pre-made fermented foods like this one from @wildbrine.⠀
Making sure you are supporting your gut every day is super important - but it's especially important when you are taking an antibiotic (& after!). I take a probiotics 2x a day anyways and I also try to eat fermented foods several times a week - but during this time I definitely ate more!⠀

Exercise is my therapy..when I'm feeling anxious or stressing out about whateverrr 😏 it's so easy for me to just lay in bed, turn the tv on & sleep it all away..and tbh, I still have days that I do this.
I'm NOT perfect.
But the difference between who I was before coaching & now, is that I have MORE days where I choose to workout, to get sweaty AF & push myself outside my comfort zone 🔥♥️💪🏼 Not here to be perfect, just better than I was yesterday!
Yesterday, I went to the chiropractor.
This visit was actually a huge deal for me even though it was completely normal.
I had not gone to the chiropractor for a full week.
Guys, this is huge!
It’s been MONTHS since I’ve gone a full week in between adjustments!
Even though that progress is a big deal I’m still stuck.
I’m stuck in a rut of not feeling like myself.
Stuck with bad nutrition.
Stuck with low motivation.
Stuck with negative self talk.
Stuck with the inability to commit.
Stuck on auto pilot.
Stuck wishing instead of doing.
I need to feel the joy again similarly how I felt when I realized I mad it a full week without an adjustment.
I don’t want to go backwards.
It’s taken me so much to get here.
I need you to know that being stuck happens.
You never actually start over.
You try again with more knowledge, strength and power than you had before.
Your journey was never over, it was just waiting for you to find it again.
I’m looking for 5 people who are feeling stuck, feeling like they are running on auto pilot, or maybe just feeling lost.
