There is more truth in these few lines than all of social media or the news. We are so quick to form the wrong opinion and unleash our tongues in a furious strike against someone we don’t agree with we forget to stop and listen. We forget compassion we forget so many old teachings anymore because we have to be careful not to upset someone because they can’t figure out who they are when most of the time. Two sides to every story, listen twice as much as we speak, do unto other as you want them to do to you. These are just a small sample if how generations before us lived, and did quite well. Yeah they had their problems but they didn’t unleash them on everyone around the world just so they could be heard.
Before you take offense to this or anything else you encounter on social media today think about a few things. 1) are you angry with what was said or just angry and don’t know why? 2. Have you honestly forgave someone you felt wronged you, or at least tried to have a conversation about it, not a shouting match or keyboard worrier fight on your phone, but a real conversation. 3) why are you letting something someone hundreds if not thousands of miles away said affect you so much. We will never truly unite as a country until we all on all sides of of every disagreement learn to listen more to what is being said.
