My colleges examinations got over a day before yesterday which means now I can click and post more regularly. Unfortunately though, my phone camera has bailed on me and isn't starting. I'll try to get that fixed, but if I can't, which seems like the probable scenario, I think I'll have to get a new phone or a new camera.
I've joined some classes and the gym to make some productive use of my time. I'm extremely lazy but I like to be lazy when I'm doing something, which is weird in a way cause most of the times I'm just trying to avoid meeting friends and people in general. Quiet places are truly where I belong.
Heat wave is in its full swing and the mountains are feeling it too. Especially the western side of the Dhauladhars with temperatures rising up to 38°C in Kangra City. Please drink loads of water. The heat will dehydrate you faster than you think it will, so try to stay in the shade after noon.
I'm reading Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka these days. I'm so intrigued by this person and his story. As a boy, he had a very dominating and abusive father and he never really got out of his shadow his entire life. He became extremely introverted due to his childhood memories and wrote to vent out some of his deepest emotions. When he was on his deathbed, he made his closest friend promise that he'll burn all of his writings, as he didn't think the world would be interested in reading them. His friend, however, broke that promise and gave us Franz Kafka, the most brilliant and creative writer of the twentieth century.
So life is going really well for me in this little town of Pathankot. I hope you're all doing fine too wherever you guys are from. Keep reading, keep travelling, keep discovering and keep exploring. A road seemingly leading to gold.
On the road to your destination do not forget that it's the journey that matters the most and that in turn is the real 'gold'. So start living and loving the 'now'. For you do not even know when your journey through life will cease to exist.
Mine the 'gold' as you go. There's no point in hurrying, the destination is not a finish line, this is not a race.
