For the last couple months Cora has been noticing the trash along the road every time we drive somewhere. "Mommy, we need to pick up the trash!" Yesterday was finally warm enough and we had a couple hours. I couldn't believe how long they kept at it!

I was a fur mommy first, and it was our 1st husky (swipe to see her - the black & white one) that knew I was pregnant before we ever did. She would normally lie in front of my husband at the end of the day and then all of a sudden started coming to me. Itโs incredible what they can sense. Yay! My #raspberry jam turned out this time! Raspberry #jam is actually easy to make. You just need some patience. For this recipe, I used:
12 cups of sugar
12 cups of raspberries
About a whole lemons worth of juice.
This makes about 12 jars worth of jam.
Combine all three ingredients into a large stock pot. Bring to a simmer and keep stirring until the mixture is ready for its setting point.
To see if the jam is at its setting point, place a small plate in the freezer for about 15 minutes. When ready place a small amount of jam on the plate. Place in freezer for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, touch the jam, if it wrinkles and feels gel like, then it is ready. If not, wait 5 minutes and retry the process. Keep doing until it is ready.
In the meantime, take your jars and lids and place into an oven at 200F for about 30 minutes.
When the jam has passed the freezer test, take the hot jars out of the oven and pour the hot jam into the hot jars ( this needs to be done to make sure all of the germs are killed). Place the lids on and close the rings about 3/4 of the way. When you hear the โpopโ your jam is ready.
