Need A Deload 😥
End of week 20 with a hard Upper B session today, even though I had a full rest from the gym yesterday and not touched a weight for nearly 50 hours by the time I finished work and got here today I struggled 💤
A long working day yesterday with minimal sleep lastnight played a big factor in the poor session I had this evening, along with the higher reps and volume this week it just completely wiped me out, 2 servings of pre workout before and 1 serving during the session didn't really touch me 😨
As always I'll be honest and say about these things as it's not always PB'S and amazing sessions, there's also piss poor and hard slog sessions like today 😥 .
Starting week 21 tomorrow with a much needed deload week which I think is going to help my body tremendously, Iv absolutely battered myself the last few weeks and with calories still being low it's now catching up with me 😓
I'm not going to think of this week as a waste of time, but yet perfect and execute exercises with correct form, stretching and squeezing the shit out of the muscle 💪 it's going to be a bit boring not shifting heavy weights but it will help the following week to progress and hit more progressions 🔥
You also gotta laugh at people taking the piss out of you and pity them really as their the ones that are normally in shit shape and would never be able to push their bodies to the levels that I am 👌 you keep eating junk and drinking boy and leave the hard stuff to me 😙
Yet again wearing a hoody as I'm bastard freezing 🤣🤣❄❄

Sunday meal prep 😍 Picked up my meals for the week from @phmarlborough & had @mattmidd36 try it for the first time with Sebastian and I! It can be hard sometimes to go out to eat when you are dieting but going to healthy places like PH makes it a billion times easier! I’ve been asked a lot “what do you order/how do you order your food when you go out to eat?” A few different things// is it’s not a cheat meal I will get plain protein with a side of veggies with no oil or butter. Restaurants are usually very accommodating if you ask with a smile 😁! If I am craving a burger but don’t want it to be my full cheat I will get it in a lettuce wrap! I ordered plain 3oz salmon with 2oz broccoli today from @phmarlborough. Matt got the shred salad and Sebby got the kids cheese quesadillas!! 😍😍 📸: @mattmidd36 #mf12prep
Brad took a candid picture of me yesterday & it was devastating to me. I was sitting down and my legs look huge and my belly was .. well big. It’s just been a bad couple of days and then I see that and it broke my heart.. at first. It’s just a reminder that: yes. I have lost 39 lbs. that is seriously AMAZING. But... it’s nowhere near where I should be to feel and look my absolute best. It’s a reminder that there’s no end goal and it’s never going to be easy. I’ve struggled this past week saying no to tempting food. There have been cakes, cookies, desserts all around me and I have stayed strong ..but it’s been hard.
This is just to let everyone know.. I struggle. I am struggling. But I know why I started. And that it because I want to FEEL healthy. I want to be healthy and happy. I also think I’m super mopey because I haven’t worked out in a few days and man is that messing with my psyche!
So.. here’s to hoping I can get through today and tomorrow with healthy decision making!
Firstly, I want to say THANK YOU to all of you who sent kind words of encouragement my way on race eve and today!. Your words meant so much to me.
Now, let’s recap my SEVENTH- half-marathon. 🙂 HOLY 7! I still remember when I said I was a 1 and done’r. 😂😂😂 We got to the race 30 minutes before the start and everything was SO smooth. No extremely long lines to park or wait for the bathroom. WIN in my book!
Race start was 8 AM and it was a bit chilly but what better weather than 50’s to run in! Ideal race weather to be honest. We got to our wave and posted up right behind the pacer and I asked my husband - what’s our plan for this race? He goes to finish.. 🤦♀️ DUH, that’s always the plan!
So I made an executive decision - let’s stick with the pacers! YOLO!
The energy was SO MUCH FUN! The pacers were incredible and had so much energy. We stuck with them until about mile 10 where I started feeling some pain in my right groin area so I pulled back on our pace a bit. Mile 12.5ish we entered Lambeau Field and the energy was there but I was STRUGGLING. That last mile killed me. At mile 12.8 a girl said OMG I see the finish!!! Yas girl, I said let’s run it out together! Enter sprint mode...to the finish to end with a 22 second PR!
Apparently my silly “at home 30 minute workouts” are paying off because my training for this..WASNT impressive. 😂
¡Vamos con todo @ccaram !

Just crazy to think that I can possibly make history next spring. I’m the youngest director in the history of the Academy Awards to be up for possible nomination for an Oscar in the category of documentary feature (22 years old). The youngest director currently to have won an Oscar is Damien Chazelle (32 years old), the director for La La Land (2016). fingers crossed! #ICan#IWill#WeAllDreamInGold we find out in January if we received the nomination! Just getting the message saying my film is eligible for an Oscar from the Academy is something so crazy.
Well I was supposed to do this race yesterday but I switched to the virtual race option and ran it this morning.
Why did I choose to do it virtually? I was having some anxiety about the race. I did the WTF trail race in January which is the same company, same route. I became incredibly dizzy and nauseous about 3 miles in. I threw up. I have never thrown up before because of a run/race. I was afraid something similar would happen since last month at my race I *almost* threw up. I was able to stand still and let the feeling pass. The WTF took me almost 2 hours to complete becuase I had to walk for almost 4 miles (plus sit down and take a moment). I didn't think I was going to make it and didn't know how I'd get back if I couldn't keep going. I didn't want to be put in that situation again. So virtual it was.
I've been doing the heart rate training and it seems to be helping those issues. If I keep my hr low, I don't have issues. If I let it get up (170-max 183ish) I get dizzy and eventually nauseous if I don't slow down. And during races, especially trail, my hr seems to jump easily. More so than when I run on my own.
I have an asthma/allergy appointment the 29th to get my breathing back to where it used to be. It seems to be getting worse and is becoming harder to breathe. I also have an appointment on June 1st to have my blood tested and see if there is something underlying that would cause these issues. 🤞🏻 that between the two we figure it out.
