R: what’s for dinner tonight?
Me: chicken, veggies and rice. :: pause. casually hold breath.::
R: I can deal with that.
you guuyyyys, one year ago, one month ago, hell, one week ago!😅😉 this dinner description would have provoked an instant meltdown. growth is so sneaky because we rarely see the evolution, just the outcome, the milestone. all those many conversations, all those many tears. I’m sure it will come again but for now.... we are all fine here.🌿❤️
ps and to stop me from celebrating too hard (offspring amirite?) she did complain about the meal once served.🤦🏾♀️but not too much. and not a single tear fell.✌🏾in momspeak, this my friends, is winning. #raisingqueens
When I was selected as Student of the Week in 5th grade, I LITERALLY said in my interview that my hobby was sleeping. 😂
No seriously, I'm actually really talented at it too. I rarely have difficulty falling asleep. I can usually stay asleep for long periods of time without help.
I'm so good at it that it's really really hard to get out of bed!
On the other hand, I have goals. Big goals. And not just physical ones.
Goals that involve traveling. Relocation.
Being a super influential woman in my industry of interest (ahem.. Not banking).
What's a girl to do? 😉
