The art piece is actually the video presentation that is on the tv screen. So i apologise you can notnsee it but i wantwd to draw attention to the girl watching the video rather then then video itself.
In a non creepy way i was watching her for a while just sitting and observing the art. For me, her sitting there became apart of the artwork. It was like observing a retro version of someone being glued to their phone in hand. Almost propaganda like. Slave like. But since she was watching art and not CNN pr some bullshit mainstream media she was a slave to the art. Which from the outsidelooks depressing and controlling. But inside i think it is freedom and strength in expression. / Odd art rant complete
In a world over-saturated with objects, products, “lifestyle choices”, brands, how does a business stand out?.. Here is a clever idea from #homegoods : they set up “an Instagram-worthy” installation on the East River shore in Long Island City. If you check #gofinding , you will see many wonderful pictures of those lamps lit up in the evening trying to challenge the Manhattan skyline in the background. But I actually prefer this view: rows upon rows of lamps mirror rolling waves of the river nearby and swirls of clouds above. Is it enough to entice me to buy one of the lamps?.. At the moment I am simply amused but who knows, a sublime message to buy when I am in the market for one may have already been imprinted somewhere deep inside my brain ...
