‘LET FOOD BE THY MEDICINE’...
The food you choose to eat most of the time will always always either add value or not to your health. Consistency, in any circumstance is the only way we will seek results.
Whether your goal is for performance, weight-related or basically to improve your health, what you do 24 hours a day, 7 days a week is the building block to reaching the end target.
The reasons as to why you choose a particular dietary lifestyle is personal to YOU, it should work for YOU and add value to YOUR health.
There are many factors, including sleep, environment, peers and other contributing ‘ingredients’ that can be tweaked to optimise your progress. Our advice, begin with moving forward steadily & consistently, and you will always see your result.
The 2 photos above are about 2 weeks apart, after finally cutting dairy & grains back out of my diet (after some time trying to re-introduce them) I have improved my health by simply making a required change to my nutrition. I feel much better, and my skin is healthier. This is the reason for my dietary choice - my health.
Keep your food choices real, nutritiously dense and in line with your goals ❤️ ~ Caoimhe
*TESTIMONIAL* “Went along on my own to the tour and straight away everyone was nice welcoming supportive warm atmosphere I could not recommend it enough! It’s same minded people looking to see some of this beautiful island we have, while keeping healthy and challenging ourselves to different experiences. It’s very professionally run my possessions were secure and safe at all times and schedule was bang on time for whole weekend. No excuse sign up, I will be again soon!” Thanks so much for the kind words @ericcunneen looking forward to seeing you again real soon 🇮🇪🙌🏻
Well done to Castrum Athlete and Coach @eorann95 and the team at @crossfitberserk who performed amazingly well at the European Regionals this weekend in Berlin
It’s great to see our local athletes mixing it up at such a high level with the best in Europe
This picture really sums up my weekend.... It was a great experience yet again to represent @crossfit_82 on the big stage, but a performance was nowhere near as good as the one last year... Felt sluggish and slow and would change so many things leading up to the Regionals if I had a chance, but that’s not how it works....
Just want to say a massive thank you to my @crossfit_82 crew who came all the way to Berlin to support me and everyone who was rooting for us at home.... thank you for being there through the good and the bad times ❤️❤️
Thank you to my brother @tonoyan.artak for stepping in last minute as my coach and helping me out throughout weekend .... I owe you big time ❤️❤️
Massive well done to @sam.stewart who is no doubt the future of Irish Crossfit and @pds54 who was on a different level altogether this weekend !! It was a pleasure competing with ye boys 💪🏻💪🏻
Also well done to my good friend @mcquaid175 who was as always in a mix with all the big dogs 💪🏻💪🏻
Now time to chill the beans for a couple of weeks.... looking forward to going back to business under a new program and a new coach !! @gearbag.ie
Three women. All competing at the Europe Regional. All 40 or older. All from the U.K. #GLC2000#LoveYourJoints
All three women said warm-up, recovery and nutrition have taken an increasingly larger role in their training, though their programming is often identical to their younger counterparts.
Their best advice for others in their 40s or older: It’s never too late. . .

Summer: Long evening, beach walks, BBQs, itchy eyes, runny nose and that annoying scratch in the back of your throat.. If you know, you know!! 😑Hayvever, aka allergic rhinitis, is simply our body mounting an immune response against something it doesn’t like (in this case pollin). The immune cells releases histamine, and those dreaded symptoms follow. Quercetin is a naturally occurring flavanoid found in red onion, apples and kale. It has been shown to prevent our immune cells from releasing histamine. While randomised control trials (RCTs are the holy grail of the research world!) investigating the efficacy of quercetin on hay fever are scant, anecdotal claims of its benefits are well reported. Quercetin needs to be taking as a preventative, so supplementation should begin ~2 weeks before the hay-fever season. I may be a little late these season, but I know my hay fever is at its absolute worst in mid-June. So I’m crossing my fingers and hoping I’m not a snotty eye-streaming mess for my birthday, like I have been every year for as long as I can remember! 😪 Will keep you in the loop! Tag your snotty friend below 😏 #hayfever#snotseason
If you invite us to a BBQ, you can be guaranteed we’re gonna arrive with a beetroot and feta salad! 😁 It’s a winner every time - • Mixed leaves • Beetroot • Feta • Red onion • Tomatoes • Crushed cashew nuts • Olive oil • Splash of balsamic vinegar • And if we’re feeling extra fancy we might even throw in some fresh oat bread and a bunch of flowers 🌺🤗 #BBQ#BBQseason
