I never did end up talking about intermittent fasting for women but the whole experience was life changing✨
Intermittent fasting for women has now become one of my areas of expertise and it all started then! If you are a woman then fasting for inflammation body fat results is much different you have to go slower and be more cognizant about hormone disruption .
By the way not sure why my title was “mind body medicine” - I prefer MD specializing in nutritional immunology or medicine (what it’s too much? 🤣)

Shakshuka 🍅 | 195 kcal pro Portion
Da ich noch angefangene Dosen und eine offene Packung Feta im Kühlschrank hatte musste ein Rezept zur Resteverwertung her. Normal gibt es dann einfach eine bunte Gemüsepfanne, doch dann kam mir dieses Gericht in den Sinn welches ich schon ewig ausprobieren wollte und ich bin einfach begeistert 😍
Rezept 📝 für 2 Portionen: ▪️1 Dose gehackte Tomaten
▪️1 rote Paprika
▪️1 EL Tomatenmark
▪️20g Feta leicht
In einer Pfanne die gewürfelte Zwiebel und Paprika 2-3 Minuten anbraten. Tomatenmark und die Tomaten hinzufügen und bei geringer Hitze ca. 10 Minuten köcheln lassen. In der Zwischenzeit auch Mais und Bohnen dazukippen und gut würzen 🌶
Danach zwei kleine Mulden in die Tomatenmasse machen und jeweils ein Ei hinein geben. Die Pfanne zudecken und die Eier 5 Minuten stocken lassen bis das Eigelb noch leicht flüssig ist. Zuletzt noch noch mit Feta und Petersilie bestreuen und noch warm mit frischem Gebäck genießen.
This is me in 2012, 8 months pregnant. (I couldn’t even fit in the seat) The average woman is supposed to gain 20-30lbs. I hit 55lbs and reached to 235 when I went to the hospital to have her. I was already over weight to start. I was 165 when I got married and gained 50-55lbs with all 4 pregnancies. The kicker is..... I never lost the weight to start over again. I was only loosing 30-35 lbs each time. Which meant each pregnancy I was bigger and bigger. Today I am sitting at a healthier 185. So yes. The 50lbs is gone, but I still have a long way to go. It is definitely not just about being skinny, I want to be fit and strong and active for my 4 beautiful children.
