'It is clear that we are just an advanced breed of primates on a minor planet orbiting around a very average star, in the outer suburb of one among a hundred billion galaxies. BUT, ever since the dawn of civilization people have craved for an understanding of the underlying order of the world. There ought to be something very special about the boundary conditions of the universe. And what can be more special than that there is no boundary? And there should be no boundary to human endeavor. We are all different. However bad life may seem, there is always something you can do, and succeed at. While there is life, there is hope.' - S.H
What comes with an Amy Schumer film is a high-level anticipation of her trademark cut-to-the-quick jibes and take-no-prisoners humour. I Feel Pretty doesn’t disappoint. 3 stars. Full review by Alexis on the @brisbanista website.
Spoilet Alert!: I went in blind when I first watched this and I'm really glad I did. I assumed that it was going to be a Tarantino-esque crime film and it certainly started out that way. Then it goes and does the most unexpected genre swap by going from crime-thriller to vampire flick! I freaking loved that! The cast is great. That Salma Hayek scene. Tito & Tarantula's After Dark. It's just a great time. What did you think of it?
