You don't need to be a high profile celebrity or a fortune 500 CEO in order to feel safe & protected when you leave your house for the day.
Remain aware of your surroundings at all times no matter where you find yourself & always trust your instincts; there isn't an app in the world that can replace them.
Personal safety has nothing to do with how expensive your suit is, how much you bench, or how awesome that new truck is; it's an exercise of mental fortitude & how far you allow your mind to evolve once its challenged.
Just a couple of thoughts to keep in your mind when you're out in public, at a private event, or just relaxing at home:
Pay attention to abnormal noises, smells, & sights; they're easy to detect once you've established an appropriate baseline for your immediate vicinity.
Stay aware of unusual activity or behavior that's out of the normal routine for a specific area or group of people.
Identify access points; doors, windows, garages & rooftops.
Remain mindful of potential resources when you enter a venue or public space & always plan your exit.
Mentally take note of random objects that you could use; or potentially be used against you.
Locate fire alarms & extinguishers, they'll get a great deal of attention if needed.
Limit the "dedication to your phone" or headphones in public, your brain only pays attention to one medium at a time.
