So many amazing, memorable moments in India......This man was a palm reader with a parrot who chose the tarot card. He was so accurate in his description of my personality! 😮 😉😂 Fun times.......great memories!
The well of death
A regular event in any Indian fair, which consists of death defying heroics by the performers, who ride vehicles in a silo shaped wooden cylinder, as the spectators stand on a base at the top of the cylinder and gaze down at the performers doing their stunts.
However, as dangerous and adrenaline pumping event as it is, the performers still don't get their dues or respect that they deserve, as the tickets for one show go for as low as 25/30 Rs, and thus prompting these performers to take money off the hands of spectators assembled at the top, in the form of donation.
Which surely brings one to wonder about the safety options involved in these acts, and there aren't none because there isn't much money involved in these events, and they make do with whatever resources they have.
And this somewhere is an indication of how our society has turned into, a place where performers and artists of any kinds still struggle to find any respect and financial stability that can help them lead a better life while performing their craft alongside.
