If you’ve seen Slumdog Millionaire you’ll have an idea of where this is. We had the privilege of being taken through the hidden alleyways in the depths of the largest slum in the world, Dharavi ‘the heart of Mumbai’. We were enchanted by a maze of colourful characters so rich in life and love ❤️❤️❤️❤️ please donate to give the people food and an education at Slumaid.org #slumaid#incredibleindia#dharavi#slum#simplelife#nonprofit
India got me like: slow down son!
The last 10 weeks have flown by in a flurry of planes, rickshaws, trains, cold showers, iced coffees, dirty clothes, long hikes, good talks, silly games, yummy food, hard cries, dance parties, cups of chai, new faces turned to new friends, chilli potatoes, sick nights, sick days, and it has made for one tired body and a very full heart. ◇
Laying in the common room of a hostel in Nepal, I have spent the morning sleeping and watching movies. I've had a long shower, and a long talk with my mum, without trying to squeeze either of those in between any other obligations. I'm ready to rest and be restored. ◇
The last 10 weeks have given me so much, and the learning never stops! I can't believe the beautiful people who have shaped this experience. I am so grateful to @operationgroundswell for being a company I can love working for and creating this community of support and care which I get to call my own,
To the partners we are able to ally ourselves with for opening up their homes to us,
To each and every incredible participant who helps me to keep my eyes open,
To our little collection of hotel staff and travel guides who continually go above and beyond their job descriptions to save us when we don't know what we're doing
And VERY MOST OF ALL to @mindbodybike who keeps me strong and courageous and honest, there is no other human with whom I would rather be doing any part of this. Thanks team ♡
For now it's a mid season break... come the end of July we're gonna hit it once more! Till then ✌ I'm climbing mountains.
