Two posts one day 🤷🏼‍♀️ #sorrynotsorry Today we had hammies!!! 🤙🏻 Been thinking a lot lately, getting a lot of advice from people well experienced in bodybuilding... Those of you who know me know I LOVE to lift heavy and I hold/build muscle pretty freaking well 🙏🏻 This past show I became nationally qualified, but was informed that in order to do well at a national show, I will most likely have to lift super light and practice my posing quite a bit as I’m a bit too muscular for bikini. My thought didn’t immediately go to winning the show... I was thinking about how I would not enjoy my workouts as much because I love weights too much to give them up! Sooooo after much talk with my coach I think I’m leaning towards figureeeeeee!!! #timetoliftshit . .

I am slightly jealous I wasn’t participating in the class but I enjoyed instructing it never the less, pushing you all to gain the most out of your workouts 💪🏻 First class we did a cheeky accumulator...a session which is relentless and tough however it’s great for getting maximum calorie burn and targeting every muscle group! LOTS of arms...they might be sore tomorrow 🙈

These women are incredible...there were grim moments 🤢 however they kept positive, kept believing in themselves and completely a tough class full of combination and complex exercises

My style may not be for everyone- but I love midi dresses; high waisted skirts and pants; structured tops ; wide legged pants- anything that gives me a waist and actually emphasises the width of shoulders.

That’s because I’m proud of my shoulders; the width of my back; the fact that even i am lucky to keep a relatively small waist most of the time. 
I like my muscularity and I feel blessed that I no longer feel self conscious about having a tad more muscle than the average Jane 
I thank the universe that I found weight lifting. For both the inner; mental strength I’ve gained- and also the physical strength and changes in composition

And thanks to inspiration from @anniegunshow and some creativity, I’m finding you can do an amazing amount with a couple of kettlebells, resistance bands, a pair of light dumbbells and a yoga mat. I won’t be winning any strength contests, but my goals right now are more about maintaining muscle and being injury resistant. Hiking alone isn’t enough and leaves my back stiff without other training and stretching.
