Ok, I need some motivation. I haven’t been in the gym...like at all...for a long time. I go in here & there to do a little legs or maybe some cardio but that’s it. I’m soooo inconsistent it’s ridiculous. 
This picture was taken about a week ago. I have some “fucked up shoulder” going on. I’m not sleeping much & it is pretty much a constant pain in the area that reminds me it’s fucked up. I can’t do any upper body work right now & its fucking with me because I’m an all or nothing person - whatever that means. MRI was clear - no tears but there’s some tendinitis and collagen break down. I see a Physical Therapist 2xs a week and had a couple massages as well. 
So here’s the question, what should I do? What’s my next move 🤷🏻‍♀️ let me have it!

Let’s recap April, shall we? I binged, next week I got my period, & now that that’s over, I’m sick with a cold. My weight has been all over the place & to be honest, I’m having a hard time with it, which frustrates me even more! I had been in a really good place not caring about the scale & going by what I feel but nooow, I’m feeling pudgey & the scale is affecting me negatively. I guess the scale didn’t bother me before bcuz I was working toward losing fat & I knew, eventually, the scale would show it. But now I’m on a break & working to maintain.. so, although I’m loving the extra food & even wanting more of it.. it’s hard to get my brain to make the switch. But I’ve talked to coach & she knew just what to say.. She reminded me that half the journey is to be patient. Just bcuz I’m not losing doesn’t mean I’m not making progress. Maintenance isn’t a step back & taking a break isn’t quitting. It’s essential. If I hadn’t started this diet break when I did, I’m pretty sure I would’ve binged for longer & my progress really would’ve taken a hit. I’ve spent most of my life trying to get weight off that I forgot that you can’t rush something if you want it to last forever. My body will get to what I have planned for it but not at the expense of my mental health. Really gonna take this break niiiice & sloooow. Going to remind myself to be patient & enjoy the journey at every stage. So Instagram rumor has it - there are some new @oreos that hit the shelves.  Hot dammit, the rumors are true.  Some people voted at #MyOreoCreations and I guess this is what came of it:  Pina Colada Thins - they really have that coconut/pineapple-ish taste to them, which I would imagine would be pretty easy to nail.  They’re good.  Cherry Cola - you can smell that fake cola smell instantly, and definitely taste it.  Kudos for the cherry popping candy for the fizz factor.  These aren’t that bad.  I’ll still smash the package.  Kettle Corn - I got maple syrup instantly.  If you were lucky enough to find the Waffle & Syrup ones from last summer, these resemble those.  The addition of the puffed millet pieces used in the attempt to trick your senses like you’re eating puffed corn was clever...but I don’t care, I just get chunky syrup.  I’m cool with it, but definitely not permanent shelf worthy.  Make these thins. - Either way, I just had a weird cookie party and as bad as these may seem, they were still unique and nothing horrible like the dreaded Swedish Fish Oreos.  I got these all at @target in #SavageLife

In college it became crippling, so I finally started a bit of therapy and medication. It helped immensely, but after graduation I just kind of stopped. Wedding planning has been full of triggers for me, and the last week I’ve been kind of spiraling out of control. And the absolute last thing I want is to have a panic attack on my wedding day (or shower, or bachelorette, etc). So, here we are.

Tip of the day: 🔑 Rear Deltoid Dumbbell Flys 🔑 One of the most neglected muscles in the body (besides calves lol) is the rear delts. Often times I see people in the gym who's shoulders are collapsing inward, as if trying to pinch together. This typically indicates overuse of pushing motions without the balance and stretch of pull motions for the rear delt.  I like to do my rear delt exercises between other movements, even on days i'm not incorporating shoulders. It can be kind of difficult to target the rear delt effectively without letting larger muscles take over, but it is essential for shoulder health. A good rule of thumb is to keep the weight light to really focus on where the muscles are firing.

Made these stuffed bell peppers for dinner tonight and they were reallyyy good. Other than the prep, it didn’t take that long. Trying to cook at home more now that I have a bigger, nicer kitchen. Also doesn’t hurt to save money! I’ve always hated eating at home. It’s easier and more fun to eat out. But at the end of the day, food is just fuel for our bodies. Not every meal has to be a big deal. Different mindset but I’m trying it out. This is also easy to modify with meat substitute for the filling.

I have a hard time eating oatmeal and never thought it taste good at all......UP UNTIL NOW😍 
I found a way for me to eat it by adding fat free Greek yogurt and oatmeal. After I mix it I stick it in the freezer till it is almost frozen. I then top it off with frozen fruit or 2 tbs of jelly of my choice (depending on what meal it is for). Today I added some bananas to get some extra carbs. It’s like a frozen oatmeal yogurt dessert with protein😂😋. Kinda gross but oddly satisfying. Give it a shot y’all 🍨

Man if I had a dollar for every time I read a quote that said something like, “Tough times don’t last, tough people do”. Or reverse that, “Tough people last, tough times will pass”. Well, let’s just say I would have quite a few dollars.

The irony though is that when you are looking for these words of wisdom and encouragement you are likely right there in the middle of said “tough time”. Now I don’t know about you but telling me somethings not going to last forever in the middle of it feeling like it is/will last forever didn’t help a dang bit. Instead it made me question if I was “tough” at all and even considered that these didn’t apply to me. Maybe I wasn’t the person described in these quotes and my tough times would last.

Well, I would like to offer a different take:
“Tough times don’t last, people with a will and a desire to grow, learn, adjust and fight like hell for happiness do.”

Not quite as catchy and it sure won’t fit on a bumper sticker but the message speaks for itself. When times get tough, and you question yours don’t retreat because you feel you lack the strength. In that same breath don’t dig your heels in taking a position that makes you feel empowered, but is ultimately the wrong one. Rather think with your mind, decide with your heart, and act with all you’ve got.
