This demonstration is in response to last weekend's homophobic attack on a gay couple in Brussels, who were beaten up by a group of youths for their audaciousness in "daring" to hold hands while walking home after a night out.

![[day 20 | chains] I first came across this piece in the Comics Art Museum in Brussels, a collection of Belgian and international artwork ranging from the classics (like Tintin) to the more obscure (like this). Unfortunately, I didn't think to capture the title and artist's name, so if anyone could share it, it'd be very much appreciated.
There's something about this piece that really draws me in, so much that I nearly got a tattoo inspired by it. Despite these huge, powerful wings, the angel remains shackled to the ground. How often have you let fear ground you in a in a tough moment or decision – whether to purchase that plane ticket, to negotiate a better salary, to challenge your abilities? How many opportunities have you passed up, by default, because you never took that leap of faith to begin? Where you stayed paralyzed, when you could have flown?
