Yes 😊💪. As expected tough one at start. Kept the first 5k very easy jogging around 6:10/km average. With making short running steps to avoid an injury. . .
Once warmed up, the body came back in its rhythm. The aches due to fatigue in joints, tendons, muscles, even on your soles of your feet went away.
The last 2.5 KM, I speeded up a bit without forcing to pace 5:30/km and below. About +50 D on the track. . .
It became a lovely run in spring season with some sunshine and lovely views over slopes with yellow fields of coleseed.
Run done and went well. The body is an amazing system. Now some extra proteins, tiger balm tonight again and focus on recover. . .
Probably will skip tomorrow's training, after abort yesterday's training, that will be now this Thursday or Friday.
It isn't an injury but just general fatigue of the body after running an ultra distance of 84.390 two weeks ago. Therefore the knee patellar bandage today just as precaution. . .
Step by step. From 1 run, to two runs a week, back to three and four runs a week soon. . .
Why not swim or bike ? Good one. I did now a recovery track with walks and gardening as crossfit, as I don't have a proper bike to start with 😁. .
I might consider an Ironman triathlon some day in future. Some of my French teammates doing that besides Marathons, as well one is doing Xterra even and it inspires. . .
As being a Dutch of origin, we are born with bikes attached on our feet, that's true. ;) . . .
Aiming to run first race on May the 13th. A 10KM run with variations of track of both tarmac as trail on reasonably flat terrain. . .
Let's have it another try, but this time with a knee patellar bandage around the knee. Just as precaution.
You may think, I'm crazy but I know what I'm doing. I have been football player and licensed racing car driver in the past. Already completed a full marathon (Amsterdam 2016) with two of these knee patellar bandages around both knees. . .
Yesterday, the stop after 400m was no injury but reckon the general fatigue of the body after running a double marathon. .
So, last night I kept the body extra warm with loads of red Tiger balm. . .
Joints, muscles and tendons are complaining, which is in fact quite logic after running an ultra distance.
It has been two weeks now after completing the 84.390km run. .
Did some walks and gardening as crossfit but want to give the body the impulse now to the right direction to get back in the rhythm again with this second run after last wednesday. . .
In three weeks time from now up to my first 10km race. .
But now first, 45 minutes jogging coming up. . .

For the French: NPORadio1 is a kind of mix of France Inter, France Info and Musique. As you might know Les Bataves 🇳🇱, we bring it in a nice tempo. . .
A channel like France Culture probably won't be possible to even exist another day in the Netherlands. 😉 . . .
Anyway, Radio 1 is the first public channel nationwide in the Netherlands. Calling from France I'm talking live with host Wouter about sports, society, politics and so on. .
We talk also about serious issues of course but in general we just have a lot of fun on our Saturday Night live.. . .
And apparently the Dutch don't bother to listen live to my latest French gossips about an hour 🤭😁😉 . .

About the running part. After running as ultra two Marathons in one go as double marathon, I'm taking it slow to restart training.
Upcoming season will be consisting of trails and shorter road races around 10km till 10 miles max. Starting with the 10KM of the Forest near Capelle lès Boulogne in a few weeks.
And along the summer we're running back into the bigger events such as the halfmarathon of Lille Métropole, the French National Trail Côte d'Opale and the Marathon of Eindhoven. .
My Mambo Nr 7 will be again a 42.195km dance with the elements🏃 in the Netherlands. . .
