A six hour drive later and I’m back in SF for a busy, busy work week shooting for a client! 😍 Thank god for podcasts, audio tapes, rest stops and Starbucks every 20 miles 😂  Making the drive wayyy more entertaining 🤓 And for lunch I just brought back all the fresh produce from my fridge in LA and am throwing it all together to make one big spring veggie bowl with a lemon-pepper vinaigrette, radish slices, avocado, sugar snap peas and sungold tomatoes 😍 Tastes even better knowing that none of my veggies went to waste while I was gone.☺️ Would love to know what your favorite podcast are?! I made quick work of getting my hands on the new cauliflower gnocchi at Trader Joe’s and they are pretty good! I’m thinking of developing my own cauliflower gnocchi recipe. My current life motto because that’s how I’ve been feeling the past few days and life’s been going gooood 🤙🏼 Energy is real and it’s an exchange. When you’re surrounded by good vibes you absorb them as well. It’s important to notice what and who you’re surrounding yourself with.
Thanks to an incredible brunch this past weekend hosted by @balanced_life_leslie the past few days have been filled with good vibes and it all started on Saturday. A healing sound bath, a great crew of girls, a delicious and phenomenal brunch spread, and crystal readings. A few things I’ve been manifesting are coming to life and it’s one of those moments of pure relief. Like I can finally take a deep breath because I feel really good with being exactly where I am. I have an exciting announcement coming soon ☺️
When you’re someone who likes to always know the plan and tries to figure out the future, it can be really challenging to cut yourself some slack, but you can take some of the pressure off by not needing to be in control. I believe everything happens in a cycle of destroy, create, destroy, create. I first read about this in Women Who Run With The Wolves years ago, and when I started to look closer at my life, it became so evident. This belief has brought an incredibly valuable perspective into my life which helps me to feel some gratitude even in the midst of heaviness because I know that the heaviness is here as a teacher leading me to something new. It reminds me that what comes after the destruction is space for creation and new expansion. It is one of the reasons I love fires so much. I feel the burning down happening inside of me often. It’s here now. So many old narratives are being burned away. A broader awareness is moving in. Sometimes it is hard to know what to do beyond holding on for this wild ride and remembering that after what I no longer need is burned away there will be room for an even greater truth to rise up. 🔥

It’s Taco Tuesday!! Honestly, it’s my FAVORITE day of the week. 🌮 I could eat Mexican food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We’re mixing things up a bit and having my GRAIN-FREE, PALEO CHICKEN ENCHILADAS. 💃🏻

The last Tuesday morning where I sipped a cup of freshly steeped roobois with a warm homemade banana blueberry muffin in completely quiet house was...I can’t remember. As someone who coaches others on how to take care of themselves daily - the whole self - I do not always lead by example everyday of the week.

Add husband on the road for work, dog with stomach bug and baby going through a cold - Me Time doesn’t just happen. I got up early to get everybody’s breakfast, snacks and medicine ready before the babies woke up 🐶 👶🏻 and miraculously they were asleep when I finished.

Life can feel automatic. Creating Me Time breaks that automatic living and IS up to us. Some days, though, the Universe does open a window for Me Time and you notice + dive in + SAVOR it✨

Banana and blueberries are two favorites in our house so I cook and bake with them lots. @giadadelaurentiis {and sweet Jade!} was my inspo for this muffin - made with brown rice flour. I really prefer single-ingredient flour over mixing different types of grains and gums when I bake gluten free. It’s simpler for me, lesser space in my pantry and easier for my little one to digest. Giada has lots of delicious ideas for baking with brown rice flour. Cinnamon and nutmeg really gave blueberries and bananas in this a flavor lift. I use @arrowheadmills organic brown rice flour.

Some of us need higher amounts of carbohydrates for energy (I’m one of those people, this porridge is an example), some need more of certain minerals, some are lacking in key digestive enzymes, some may simply need to add more animal protein or fats to their diets! The list goes on. To be able to evaluate and suggest the nutritional needs of another body is a personal goal and passion of mine. This porridge is also a passion of mine, it has everything I need for a filling and fueling end-of-winter-hello-spring meal.✨Going to post the recipe and video for how I make this soon!

We love transformations! Dilcia is a fabulous client of Violet's who was diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure and endometriosis. She suffered from early signs of menopause like severe hot flashes, at just 34 years old. Her goal? Get healthier to increase her chances of fertility. Took a cooking video awhile back making this recipe with chicken thighs and it turned out delicious. So I tried it again with chicken breast and it tasted just like chicken fingers. 😋
• 2 chicken breast
• 1/2 cup almond flour
• 1 - 2 eggs
• Garlic powder
• Paprika
• Salt and pepper to taste
➡️ Add flour and spices into one bowl and whisk eggs together in a separate bowl
➡️ Cut raw chicken breast lengthwise into slices (aka into tender shape lol)
➡️ Dip chicken tenders into egg mixture and then into the almond flour mixture. Set aside until every piece of chicken is covered.
➡️ Fry in avocado oil until cooked through.
Pair with homemade sweet potato fries to get the full effect. 😏

This morning I woke up in time for my 6am workout 💪🏾 but, after about two minutes of contemplation, I gave up and hopped back into bed😴.

As important as being fit and active are to me, my overall WELLness is more important. So this week I’m putting less pressure on myself to make it through those physically demanding workouts🏋🏾‍♀️, and instead focusing on eating healthier 🥗 and catching up on sleep!

 Carbs have gotten a bit of a bad rap recently and I wanted to share how my family feels about them. We ❤️ carbs, in all forms. We eat ‘em at every meal. I try to encourage whole grains, fruits and starchy veggies as our main carbs, but I don’t demonize any foods. Healthy eating to me means finding the balance between all foods and teaching my kids to enjoy a lot of some foods while others are treats. Here’s to everyone finding balance today! 💁🏻‍♀️💕

How is it that our minds can be fully supportive in one moment and completely contradictory the next? I think we’re all stuffed to the brim with doubt, insecurity, fear, and lack. The difference lies in those people who are able to notice it, live comfortably beside it, and move forward in spite of it. I don’t think it’s possible to live “fearlessly”. Instead, I think it’s up to us to make the conscious decision to live in harmony with our fear. Don’t let it win, but let it stay. It is a part of us, of our humanness. This years mantra: don’t stop trying before you’ve even started.

The most perfect and delicious salad for an easy week night dinner 🥗
➖
Fish Food:
2 handfuls of spring mix lettuce 
1 handful of shredded carrots
4 slices of cucumber 
4 cherry tomatoes cut in half 
Half an avocado 
1 piece of grilled chicken 
Spoonful of feta cheese
Toasted pita on the side 
Toss with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt + pepper

so fluffy, so light, so moist, what could it be?! BERRY BLISS LEMON CAKE BARS OFCOURSE 💁🏻‍♀️✨ easy to make and super tasty, recipe below:

4 eggs (separated)
1/2 c maple sugar
3 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp melted @carringtonfarms ghee + coconut oil
3 tbsp water
1/4c maple sugar
1/3 coconut flour
3/4 almond flour 
2 tbsp tapioca flour
1 lemon zest
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp ashwagandha (optional)
handful of blackberries/bluebs

preheat oven to 180c then grease and line a 9 x 9 tin
in a medium bowl whisk up the egg whites on high speed until stiff, then slowly incorporate 1/2 c maple sugar while whisking then carry on whisking for a couple of minutes (until you have glossy peaks)
in a large bowl whisk up the yolks and add the lemon juice, oil and water, mix, then add the rest of the dry ingredients and give it another mix.
take about a third of the egg white mix and gently fold into the flour mix until incorporated, then fold in the rest of the whites
pour into the prepared tin, sprinkle the berries on top then put in the oven to bake for 20-25 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean
let cool in the tin for about 10 minutes then carefully take out to cool on a drying rack. once cooled, sprinkle some coconut flour and almond flakes on top to be fancy. slice n serve! 💖

🇫🇷Chamonix Mont Blanc French Alps our home in the mountains this is the Aiguille du Midi at 3842 meters where we did the Vallee Blanche ski run the other day.
