I remember crossing the college graduation stage being so proud of the work I had put in over the last 4 years. I was a library nerd and I studied really hard to get good grades in college. That diploma felt good 👩🏼🎓.
4.5 years. That’s how long it took me to get my degree (the extra half year because study abroad - which was 110% worth it 👌🏼).
It’s interesting to me that some people assume success with a side business should happen quickly. -
When I started this, I told myself I’d give it a year. I knew it wasn’t a get rich quick thing, and I knew that it would take hard work. My hourly rate wasn’t much. But I didn’t care. It was making me better in so many areas.
After a year, my mind had opened a whole lot. My abs were tighter and my pants fit better. I was now alongside a community of women who were all doing fitness together 💪🏼.
But I knew I had barely scratched the surface. What would happen in 2 years? 3 years? And hell, what if I gave it 4+ years?... What if I learned the skills, got the experience, and put in that GRIT, just like I did to earn my college degree?
If I would’ve joined this business for income only, it never would’ve worked. That’s gross, and then this isn’t for you. But having our world open with new friends, uncovering a passion I didn’t know I had, getting in the best shape of our lives, and seeing my income surpass what I was making as an accountant — all of that is really special.

Pentecost Sunday 🔥🔥🔥 “The language of the Holy Spirit is a language of love” - from Father’s homily at vigil Mass. It’s so true! Pray to the Holy Spirit to guide you and your spouse, that He may give you both the wisdom to know God’s will and the strength and the courage to do it. Ask for the grace to love totally, freely, faithfully, and fruitfully. We can do great things with the power of the Holy Spirit, and He can transform our marriages. The Holy Spirit can give us the grace to love each other as God loves us.🔥
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful. And kindle in them the fire of your love. ❤️ #mymasstakeaway#mysundaybest#pentecostsunday
Romantic love is what begins many marriage relationships. Sometimes it dies off just a few months into the marriage and some take a few years.
Many then get confused thinking they got the wrong guy or the wrong lady and conclude too soon.
They deny themselves the opportunity to fan their love into maturity, to allow the coals get warm, then hot and unquenchable.
Never trust that tender and young love, it's temporary. Focus instead on fanning the coals of mature love into intense unquenchable flame.
It takes time, it takes commitment.
