Satu lagi, sosok perempuan yang saya temui di pegunungan Arfak, namanya kaka Serina. Selama di sana beliau yang banyak menceritakan tradisi yang ada dimasyarakat. Serta ikut berkegiatan bersama para mama di pegaf. Berkebun, mengolah makanan menjadi salah satu aktifitas yang dilakukan perempuan arfak tiap harinya. Yaa itulah salah satu tradisi dimasyarakat arfak.

Tiga perempuan Pegunungan Arfak yang saya temui ketika menginjakan kaki di tanah Papua, bertemu ketika mereka baru saja pulang dari kegiatan berkebun. Yaa perempuan di tanah papua memiliki peranan yang penting, posisi seorang mama sangat dihargai dan disegani dimasyarakat. Peranan yang diambil pun luar biasa. Jarak tempuh yang cukup jauh, terkadang berjalan berjam-jam dengan ikhlas dijalani perempuan-perempuan tangguh ini untuk kehidupan #lebihberarti . Rasanya tidak terlambat untuk mengucapkan selamat hari kartini kepada perempuan Indonesia.

Try not to dwell upon contrasts.
Comparisons where you feel you’re not worthy or good enough, lead to ego-based thinking, fear & lack (yes I do catch myself thinking 🤔 like this at times).
But instead of separating ourselves from others, why not focus on what we share that’s the same; maybe our love for coffee, a friend we have in common, or our struggles. This keeps us in a compassionate place and builds feelings of connection & worthiness.
Sometimes, we imagine or misunderstand those things that make us feel separate or alone.
We’re all in this ‘adventure’ called life together. Although there will always be differences that exist between us, it helps to focus on the things that we share in common 😌

Apa yang harus kita katakan di hadapan-Nya?🕊
