Q in Indian Sign Language
Day 17 of 36 days! .
My edition for @36daysoftype is the Indian Sign language. As I thought about what words to use I realised that there are millions in this world who have trouble communicating in words but have a beautiful language of their own. I also wanted to bring more awareness and inclusion. So no choice of word, no alphabet, just sign language! ❤️
When you wake up thinking it was Friday and realising it’s only Thursday ... 🐶☕️
Have a great day in the sunshine everyone! 💕☀️ #UKCoffeeWeek

Buon giorno 🌞 some morning process focusing on the hand. Still use watercolor graphite (from Artgraf - a Portuguese brand) mostly with a mechanical pencil to refine edges. I haven't touched graphite for years and it's surprisingly fun picking it up again.
Sorry for the odd angle but I just love playing around with shadow.
"The Mourning After" 4.21.16 // I couldn't sleep last night. Haven't painted in almost 2 yrs. Haven't used watercolor even longer than that. Call it lack of motivation or interest in life lately. But I couldn't get this sadness out. Since I didn't bring any of my paints with me during my recent move, all I found was this sample watercolor set in a small wooden box. Literally only 4 colors in there. Out of all my supplies, not sure why it was the only paint I brought. It happened to be the first paint set anybody had given me. It was from an art mentor I worked with in high school. Almost 16 years ago! As I was jamming out to Prince's performances on YouTube and painting, an interview of his popped up. He was asked if he wasn't Prince, what profession did he see himself doing. In his Prince manner he simply said that at 16 he was broke, needed a job but he couldn't find anything he wanted to do...so he made up his mind he was "going to be a musician... and win at it." Regardless if he believed his music would have a purpose, he did it. It's what he wanted to do, and in God's plan it had a major purpose. Now I've been struggling to find the purpose in what I do for a while now. Which sometimes feels meaningless. Hours, days, months of work, and although it's therapeutic to me, it's not a lifestyle everyone understands or one I'd like to drag my husband into. And I always question what purpose it has to the people around me. Should I keep going? God constantly answers and gives reminders. But sometimes life can be deafening. I ain't Prince but next time I question my work's purpose, I'm going to think about that simple moment of clarity. 👁💜 #Prince#purplerain 🖤💎🖤 #lifebreedsart .
