The Sanskrit meaning of Bhadra means the one who is full of blessings and good fortune and prosperity.
She is also known as “Gentle Kali”.
This idol of Maa Bhadrakali in a temple in my city is beautifully adorned due to the Navratras .Sparkling hair accessories , bright red and gold chunri ( stole) with rich embroidery , bead and stone studded chatras ( a small dome like ornament with tinsel hangings ), bright red glass bangles and the traditional plastic ones called ,,Chura , shiny golden metal wrist hangings called Kaliras and multi hued plastic toys and savouries create an interesting kaleidoscope of traditional decorations .The toys , savouries and bangles would be distributed on the last day of the Navratras as blessings by the goddess .
I finally finished this #inktober prompt! I had it sketched out but ended up working and I didn't have time to finish it TvT
I really loved the sketch and the idea so I wanted to finish it and finally had the time (and nerve to do so!) I drew Rin, one of my my most beloved OC's I created to go an long with @aureum_vulpes ' OC Mason (They are both kind of serial killers. Lol)
