Today's job, painting the bistro table and chairs.
I wanted a pop of colour for the garden furniture table we've bought from @ikeauk for the little gravel area we finished last week. I'm doing a mish mash of seagreen spray and paradise petals from @johnstonespaint
We’ve been up since 6am carrying on with the house renovations. It’s raining. I could be glum but then look out of the window of our sitting room and remember why we made the move. 💚
Officially desperate to get in here to make my studio for @reveljewellery and a home office for @dukestudioleeds 😍 I want to have a table big enough in here that I can have friends over to do #StitchandBitch aka Drink Gin and be crap at craft 😆 Decided I’m going to go for a marbled pink floor tile in here - again pretty leisure centre/hospital vibes 😁
My treehouse ☺️
My Grandma lived in a back to back in Leeds when I was little, I remember sitting in the attic - looking out of the top window and playing with a kaleidoscope for hours - I cannot wait to be in here 😬
Day 3 of the back door restoration project... 'ooo we need to fettle that' says Mother @pennyandjed 220 years of paint stripped off and voila! However I have no fingernails left, my mouth tastes of sawdust and it's taken about 50 person hours 😂 stand down sander... your work is here is (nearly) done #houserenovation#pitchpine
Some more progress ~ utility room/office .
We spent ages thinking what use this space should have. It’s sort of a garden room behind the kitchen and where the downstairs toilet lives. So we thought we would add some more doors and tuck the washing machine and tumble dryer in here too. After endless debates over the merits of stacking vs side by side we thought stacking would be more practical. It gives us some vertical storage we’re missing elsewhere.
The rest of the room will be our office space. I’m hoping to work from home so we’ll have room for a desk with probably a shelf above, a chair and a filing cabinet. Struggling to find a decent filing solution that’s not extortionately expensive! I love the idea of something vintage but they’re £££!!

* AUG 17 * the plans are agreed a 30ft x 12ft extension to the side of the property being the main feature creating an open plan living, kitchen and dining area with 9ft bi-fold doors to the WSW facing garden.
Removal of the storm porch to the front will re expose the large bay window to the living room.
Internally the current kitchen area is split into x2 to create a shower room and ensuite bathroom. The current bathroom because new hallway to the extension and well needed storage.
The exterior of the property doesn’t have the best brickwork so off-white render will be complimented by cedar cladding to the front and rear faces of the extension along with bay window bringing this building into the current era.
