April 20, 2018~ 1 day new. Getting checked in to our new triplet room in the Special Care nursery. So glad all the girls are doing so well. They get to all be together in one room and there is space for my husband and I to stay and even sleep if we want. As soon as I get discharged from my own room, I plan on staying with them here. The nurses are all so nice too, they don’t make you feel like you’re bothering them at work. They encourage parents to be here, do kangaroo care, breastfeed and they’re teaching us as we go how to care for them. I can’t say enough about @childrensmn 💙⭐️
Finally home!!! I was discharged around 8pm yesterday and was thrilled to wake up in my own bed this morning! No more X-rays, blood draws, heparin shots, chest tubes. Thank you to everyone who provided their help and support, I don’t know how I will ever repay you! I could not have done this without everyone’s thoughts and prayers and visits and #somanygifts . I will miss the incredible medical team at MUSC but am looking forward to visiting and forfeiting my patient status! @musc #art4E @seduran325 @suzanne23133 @jennifermscott @palmettosweetheart @oliviajm96 @clintonmcdavis @nataliegaildavis @fromtheseeyesiseetheworld @handsoffmysack @jhansoccer @eleanorjojo09 @lgibbs48 @cer8910 @loosewheel2 @brandigianni @elbadrea @jdsunflower3 @soniakohler @gangsta_trevy #spontaneouspneumothorax#hospitalstay#chesttube#IV#heartmonitor#wheelchair#nurses#pleurodesis#lungsurgery
This picture was taken 2 days after my surgery!! The best surgeon ever! If you are looking to get your heart ♥️ fixed, Dr. Ramchandani is your man!! His bedside manner is the best I have experienced from any doctor, and he is a surgeon!! God is great that I found him and he did my Aortic Valve replacement without opening me up completely. It was a non evasive surgery and that is why I get to go home NOW! Oh yeah!! Thanks everyone for your prayers and well wishes!!#bestsurgeon#methodisthospital#hospitalstay#heartsurgery#goinghome#godisgreat 🙏 #thanksforalloftheprayers
Hospital Stay **Wounds and mombod on last slide so close your eyes if you're a baby***
1. ER meds finally taking the edge off 12+hours of pain. 2. Oh hey meds work. Say goodbye to babies 😏 3. Surprise, you have pancreatitis on top of an angry gallbladder that wants out, but we can't take it out till the pancreatitis heals. Prepare for more pain, no food or water, and clear your schedule for at least 5 days. 🙄 4. Family is the best and everybody tried to help make my room not so terrible and keep me entertained and happy 💛 5. Post-op Selfie. Dark day. Don't fucking ignore massive pains in your bodies and think you wont die guys, it's not worth it 😕 6. Home. Bandages and blood and gore cleaned up but ill have 4 really fugly scars when its done. Maybe the one in my belly button will be hidden pretty well though. 🙄
When Codey, Charlie and I started down this scary and uncertain road on Friday afternoon ... never did we imagine we would end up where we are today. Loved. By so many. Supported. By more friends, family & strangers than we even knew existed in our world. We never knew just how many of you we needed to be able to brave the storm ... endure the challenges ... and overcome each obstacle that had been set before our tiny warrior princess. She is something to behold when she knows her family is standing behind her. Watch out! This force is growing stronger, her courage is off the charts, and the fight with in is undeniable. I'm sure you are waiting for an update so here is what we know so far: plastics work looks good ... trauma came by last night to investigate an opacity on her lung tissue that was found on the CT scan (PSA for parents - push for your kids. I didnt in the ER and I am praying every second that we didnt miss something) ... breathing is great ... we are still on significant pain meds (coming off those is what I am silently freaking out about) ... waiting for full team to come by later today to give report. Goal: TO GO HOME TODAY! Any updates will be shared as soon as we know something solid. WE CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH. Each of you have our gratitude and have left an everlasting mark on our hearts. Remember, what you put out is what you get back in. Be good. Do good. Love your family no matter what. In an instant, with one single action, one single decision ... your road could lead off the edge of a cliff and your safety net ... your family ... will simply vanish.
Daddy got miss Peanut a new snuggly for her early birthday present. She literally hasn’t let it go since this morning. We have possibly a few more days here in the hospital. She has a bad viral infection that is causing her throat to be swollen. With her narrow trachea any swelling can cause problems. They are planning on monitoring her and assisting her as much as they can. Thank you for all the love and prayers. Even if we haven’t responded, we’ve read each comment. Looks like Peanut will be celebrating year three with the amazing nurses and doctors at Radys 👍🏼
@kimjones15 it makes me think of you 😘
So here’s what’s going on. Since Saturday night Peanut has randomly started screaming out in pain. These burst last about 1-3 hours of her constantly crying. She has no fever, all blood work came back clear and even the ultrasound they did on her intestines was good. We have no idea what is hurting her so bad. She was awake screaming almost all night. This isn’t like her at all. They did x-rays early this morning. We are just waiting for the team to come in and figure out what the plan is. Please pray for our Peanut. We have felt so helpless watching her in so much pain. We just need answers so we can help her. .
1 week of food freedom.
I have learned a lot this week. I can have treats and not feel guilty! I had cookies, cheesecake, and not one bit of guilt.
I also tried some new vegetables and will try more this week.
I lost 3 pounds and so close to 4 pounds.
We have amazing progress reported in our group! Everyone has lost and some as many as 8-10+ pounds in a week!
We have a few spots left to start and truly enjoy losing weight where nothing is off limits! Drop me a comment or message for all the details!
It’s time for you to find your freedom from food!
For those that know me, they know my great gram is one of my favorite people. This weekend, she gave us all a massive scare and currently sits in CICU in a RotoProne bed heavily sedated in an attempt to alleviate severe double pneumonia. Instead of going on adventures with my gramps and aunt from the west coast I see once in a blue moon, we've camped out in the hospital. .
Things are beginning to look up and I'm so grateful for my family. 😍
Not the way we expected to spend the weekend; high temperature, lots of coughing, and hospital admission for Maximo. 🤒🏨Our little guy has Bronchiolitis so we’ll stay here for a few days until his lungs clear up. 💙
Seems that the flu is coming with all strength this winter season and the highly contagious virus RSV is spreading around.
For high-risk kids like Maximo, chest infections can be quite dangerous...😢Thankfully his paedetrician is keeping a very close eye on him making sure he recovers soon. 🙏👦
