What was once held the accumulation of years of handheld kitchen gadgets, corks, clips and more - including 12 meat thermometers 🌡 - is now reduced to perennially useful items. Once items are sorted, reduced and given a home, they are much less likely to wander and cause you to run out and buy a third can opener. Time and money saved in the long run!
Playroom I "revisited" on Friday...
Wed organized her toys months ago and continued working on other areas of her house. Meanwhile, The toy closets sort of 'fell apart' - maybe because she wasn't yet the changed person she is today- she now sees the benefit in organization, and even more so, up keeping it, and maintaining a neat home.
I'm so proud of her!! So....we went back and re-did and hopefully this time... it will stay!
For ur own organization-
Check out the usage of sterilite cheap bins sold in target. OK they won't last forever but they're cheap.
Always stack 'like' with 'like' big bins with big and small with small
There is another closet in the playroom that u we did but can't seem to be able to post together...
It’s Saturday Night and I’m treating myself to a Sandwich... An Ice Cream 🍨 Sandwich that is!
As soon as I get my groceries home, I take the food out of their boxes, place them in a sturdy Sterilite container and recycle the packaging. It takes up less room and allows me to keep track of how many are left.

Mamas (and dads 😉), grab some baskets and make it a designated shoe space for each kid. It’s going to save your sanity when you’re about to go out the door. We all have a kid who doesn’t know where their shoes are! Now they always know where they go and where to find them 🙌🏻 Also, you can store socks in a foyer table drawer or other storage piece in your entryway. Ps. I do not organize their shoes in the basket, bc they are kids and we know in two seconds they will be thrown about anyways 😂💁🏻♀️
Time to get real about the spaces I’m actually working in day-to-day...where you have to fit coats, shoes, and accessories for all seasons, everything you need before you run out the door, dog supplies - and don’t forget space for the baby coming in a couple months ... all into a Manhattan-sized coat closet!! 😉😉😉 Every square inch is valuable real estate! #neatNYC

Il mio preferito è #no al cellulare appena seveglia, per riuscirci sono tornata ad utilizare la sveglia tradizionale per circa un paio di mesi, e ora, quasi sempre, riesco a non guardare il cellulaare prima di aver bevuto il caffè ☕.Molto meglio!

••• DECLUTTER YOUR MAIL: A common source of clutter in households 🏡 is unopened, unattended to mail ✉️. Oftentimes, letters pile up on the kitchen table and in various places all over the house. To avoid this from happening, follow these simple rules: . 🔸 Check your #mailbox every day or at least once a week.
🔸 When you get your #mail 📩, take a couple minutes to open everything and do a quick sort.
🔸 Categories to sort into: 1️⃣Junk mail = recycling; 2️⃣Actionable mail < 2 minutes; 3️⃣Actionable mail > 2 minutes
🔸 Cat. 1: Recycle the junk mail immediately 🔸 Cat. 2: Take action on the mail that needs your attention but takes only 2 minutes or less (e.g., a restaurant flyer you want to skim through to see if it is of interest for you); then recycle as well.
🔸 Cat. 3: Put the mail you need to take care of for a longer time than 2 minutes (e.g., paying a bill) in a dedicated "mail inbox" 📨 and make arrangements to attend to it at a future date (e.g., you could schedule a recurring weekly "mail inbox clear-out session" in your calendar). Once attended to, discard, scan or file 🗂if needed for future reference etc. .

Tame the Tupperware monster? Yes it’s possible. Designate a drawer or shelf just for that purpose. Store lids separately if space is an issue (I store mine with lids on ☺️). Square or rectangle containers work a lot better when storing them and using in the fridge, compared to round ones. Moving to one type of container is ideal so try to use, discard the mismatched ones and gradually buy more of the same. Or go cold turkey like some of my clients who have had enough of the yucky plastic and start fresh with glass containers!
