Happy Saturday, my friends!!
i’ve been mega MIA recently because i had a bad virus leading up to elbow surgery last week so i haven’t been able to even pick up a camera or cook for myself!! i’m healing fast and wanted to share my gut health testimony with you all, enjoy!!
i am one to inherently have digestive/heartburn/uncomfortable issues when it comes to everyday foods and drinks. i’m not a soda drinker, i got out of that habit because i personally don’t find sugar and chemicals appealing😂😅 i’ve always loved tea (clearly), it’s my version of a fun and different drink besides ice water to consume. a few years ago i had a colonoscopy from having such unbearable stomach pains and bloating, my parents and i tried everything, and i didn’t have any ulcers or internal bleeding whatsoever. i lived with this amount of pain for quite a while. at the beginning of last year, i found out that i’m allergic to citric acid, which is basically in everything, and i was drinking lemon and/or lime water on the daily because all you see is it being glorified with many many health benefits. that clearly wasn’t my case. i quit that and it made an IMMENSE difference in how i felt. at the end of last year, i started having my pains all over again so i got tested for allergies and i found out that i’m allergic to tomatoes and carrots! i was also eating carrots on the daily! they are not serve allergies, so i am able to enjoy a healthy amount every now and then. i’m not a junk food fan at all, but i do love indulging modestly at parties or whoever has something to offer. today i am recovering from a cookie and cheese stick coma😂 comfort foods and tons of tea and water to the rescue!! never be afraid of allergy tests or guess and checking to what may be your reason why you’re possibly constipated/bloated/gassy, or even nauseous. my mother was a big help in getting to know my body better and what i could do to help it❤️
