Your quest for silky smooth hair doesn’t need to cost the earth. While there are plenty of products out there promising to help people to tame their unruly tresses, many of them will result in nothing more than a big dent in their bank balances. Others may be very chemical heavy, holding potential negative consequences for your health and the wider environment. That’s not to say that none of the products and treatments out there are effective, or that they are all harmful. However, I am a firm believer in spending TIME on effective techniques rather than MONEY on effective products.
There are two key tips I tell all of my clients who are seeking stronger, smoother and more manageable hair. The first is to shampoo your hair twice while in the shower. This ensures that you rid your scalp and hair of any dirt or product residue, while it also increases blood flow to the scalp, allowing for the transport of vital nutrients. You may not notice the results instantly but remain persistent. Before you know it, the health and strength of your hair will be shining through.
Correct conditioning is also key. In a time-pressured world, it is the norm for most of us to put a dollop of conditioner on our hair and quickly wash it off. Unfortunately, this means that more product soaks down our drains than into our hair. Bring a soft plastic brush into the shower with you and gently comb the conditioner through the ends of your hair after application. Leave it to nourish your hair for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
Take the time to incorporate these two habits into your home haircare routine and I promise you will soon notice the difference! If you are eager to make a purchase, a soft plastic brush and some argan oil for additional nourishment would be my top choices 😊

I am so living for all these transformations I’m doing that take my clients to more blended, soft & natural looks. swipe for the before.
sooo my client comes in and tells me she’s been loving her blonde hair for the past two years but now she’s just over it! she doesn’t want to completely lose dimension and go one all over color. so my process for this transformation was to first deepen her roots (& the next two or three inches of hair that were very warm) using @owayorganics 5.1 & combing down. then I went through and strategically added depth & darkness back into her hair. I used 6.01 + 6.31 on her lower mid shaft and combed that into her ends, in certain spots I either left some of her blonde ends out, or re-balayaged a few pieces just to bring them up higher. at the end we did an all over gloss + tone using 6.3 and a little 7.01 😌🌱
Glitter!!! Kids get into all kinds of things.. If you can see it get it out IMMEDIATELY. Don’t let thugs get trapped inside of their Locs... sometimes you can’t use tweezers if you can’t get it by hand.. just be sure not to break Hair in the process. Easy breezy!!
