What is POTS?
POTS is postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. It is an unusual condition in which your heart rate speeds up by 30 or more beats per minute upon standing or walking. It causes me to get very light headed walking or standing for long periods of time, sometimes I faint. My wheel chair is a very very handy tool when my pots is acting up. 👍🏼 If you need a tool, don’t be scared to use it. ♥️

What is LUPUS?
Lupus is an inflammatory disease caused when the immune system attacks its own tissues. It causes very many symptoms. For me it causes a butterfly rash 🦋, chronic joint pain, fatigue 💤, photosensitivity☀️, and many more. My lupus was brought on by a huge life stress. I didn’t want to treat my lupus with conventional medicine because it is very harsh on your body. Food is medicine, vitamins are a must, and essential oils/CBD help with pain. You’re either fighting your illness, or feeding it. 👍🏼

How many Connors does it take to make smart eco-friendly lighting decisions? Just 1! The answer to the question about which type of light bulb you should buy is, drumroll please.......LED.
Why is this the case? Well, I think of buying LEDs as a long term investment. If I buy LED light bulbs it is true that it will cost me significantly more money upfront, but in the long run they pay for themselves and will even save me money.
Here's how: since LED light bulbs have an average lifespan of 25,000 hours they last a very long time. To put this in perspective, I would end up buying 20 Incandescent light bulbs in the lifespan of 1 LED light bulb. Less light bulbs bought = more money saved.
LEDs also have significantly lower wattage along with excellent performance. A 7W LED light bulb can produce the same brightness as a 60W Incandescent light bulb. To put this in perspective, 1 Incandescent light bulb uses 8 times the power draw versus 1 LED light bulb. Less electricity used = more money saved.
So to conclude, it would take roughly about a year to recuperate the initial investment of switching my whole apartment to LED, but after that it's money in my pocket! It's a win-win, I am using less energy helping the environment and saving money, it doesn't get much better than that. I hope you learned something this week because I sure did! For a while, I have kept this in; but what’s the point in doing that, when I can spread awareness for what I and many others go through. About 5 months ago I got really sick 🤒 , not your ordinary flu sick. I was bed ridden for a couple of weeks. I went to 8 different specialist 👩🏼⚕️ , and no one knew what it was. 15 different blood draws. 💉 Numerous EKGs, and still nothing. I was misdiagnosed many times, but now we have finally found out what it is; and are still searching for more. I have systemic lupus, and POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). My chronic illnesses became active because of stress. 😴 I didn’t always have them, but now I will have them for the rest of my life. One of the big reasons I decided to share is because I went searching for someone who was going through the same thing as me, and I found very few. ♥️
HEALTHY PANCAKES 💚Last week we tried some new recipes for you. One of our favorites are the vegan & gluten free YLUMI PURIFY PANCAKES...oh they are so delicious & healthy that we have to share it with you. Ingredients (~ 10 small pancakes): 1 1/2 cups gluten free flour, 1 tablespoon of PURIFY SPARKLE & for the extra green colour you can also add 1/2 tablespoon matcha green tea powder, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 tablespoon ground chia seeds, 1 pinch of salt, 2 tablespoons agave syrup, 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 banana, cooking spray or oil. Mix all dry lingredients. Add wet ingredients and mix thoroughly. After that heat a nonsticky pan & spray some cooking spray on the hot pan. Put about two tablespoons of batter onto pan per pancake. Last night I cooked a weber roast pork. It looked amazing! My daughter didn't want meat, I don't cook separate meals here. Eat it or go hungry 😒 but I did understand, so cut up the roast vegetables and made a roast veggie salad with chickpeas. She loved it. I had the same 😄
This mid morning, again listening I whipped up left over roast veg with a poached egg, avo and mixed leaves. Oh & a throw together sauce 😋
