Happy Friday! On my last post I had people asking if I could share a pattern for this hat so here you go! The pattern is from finnish Lämmin Ilo blog (link in comments). This is my first time translating a pattern so ask me if something is confusing! ❤️ 1st row: make 46 chain stitches. Turn the chain around. (This will be the lenght of your hat). 2nd row: make a double crochet to the second chain stitch and continue with dc to the end of the row. This will be the wrong side of your work.
3rd row: crochet dc to the previous rows back loops. This will be the right side.
4th row: crochet whole row dc.
Continue with 3rd & 4th row until your work is 47cm long. (This will go round your head, so you can make more or less rows depending your yarn and hook size). Sew your first and last row together so you have a tube. Sew the one end together from inside your work and flip the other edge over so you have a chunky edge to your hat. You can make the edge as wide or narrow as you want and secure it with few stitches.
In the original pattern she used nr 5 hook and eco cotton yarn and used the pattern for a head size 54-56. While I made these I used chuncky wool yarn with hook 4 for my 59 sized head and as I said you can alter the size by making more or less rows.
Loads of people have added a pompom to the end but I prefer my beanies without it.
Also defenetly go check out her blog for pictures! Link in the comments! 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇
