A lovely afternoon exploring some of Cumbria's ancient monuments and ruins. The Roman Baths at Ravenglass, (can't believe the Roman Fort next to it has never been excavated!) the Viking Gosforth Cross and the medieval Egremont Castle.
More photos will appear on my Facebook page later.
The “it” terminal of NY or maybe the US. I have always been admiring Grand Central because it appears in many favourite movies of mine.
Behind its grande and distinctive architecture, there was a great history behind this masterpiece which built in 1903. It was a fatal crash in 1902 that drove a genius engineer to create a better railway system. He was a visionary that opted for electrical power to fuel the trains, instead of steam, coal or fossil (to be remembered it was 1900s). Knowing that he is not so aesthetic, he then collaborated with a creative designer whose creation we admired until today
Thinking about our country that has a great history as well, we have been through a lot but somehow I feel like we still fall apart. And I tell myself maybe it just a matter of time 😊
Many people are aware of our Museum, Pavilion and Conservatory but most do not know that our campus consists of over 800 acres. On June 2nd we will open a new outdoor art installation, Doors to Originality. This installation inspired by the 2018 special exhibit, and done completely by regional artists, will open up the grounds and give guests the opportunity to walk the site. #BWEarthDay
