"For 50,000 generations we were wildlife. We were just another species. And in the end, our spirits have an urge, they have a longing, still to be part of it... I do believe that to be fully human is to recognize that the natural world is where we came from, and it remains part of us. And without it, being fully human, is something we cannot do." - Michael McCarthy
It has been awhile since I have rolled out my yoga mat with the intention of actually practicing yoga. But as I dive back into what I know is best for me, after a crazy six ish weeks of falling far off the tracks, I am excited to start incorporating yoga back into my daily evening routine.
Excited to gain back my flexibility, and to grow in my flexibility.
Excited to spend time each evening on my mat, stretching and winding down.
Excited to strengthen my yoga practice, to see progress in different positions.
I love how this journey is never-ending. I am not starting over because I fell off track. I am picking up the pieces and continuing on. I am taking what I have learned and putting it to good use. I am doing what’s best for me because I am mentally ready again.
