this one by far meant the most 🙏🏼 when you are told at age 38 that you will likely not be able to walk without an assisted device again... my response then was f#%kin watch me. Why does a coffee in the morning make everything better? (hint: it actually contains lots of nutrients)
1️⃣ ENERGY LEVELS
Coffee (clearly) assists in the process of feeling AWAKE, improving our energy levels, as it contains the stimulant, “caffeine”. 💁🏼♀️ Once the coffee is consumed, caffeine is absorbed into the bloodstream and travels straight to the brain.
2️⃣ FAT BURNING
Caffeine is one of the very few natural substances that has actually been proven to help in burning fat (it can boost the metabolic rate by 3-11%) 🔥. Combined with weights + cardio, this is a great way to get the metabolism firing.
1 cup of coffee contains, Vitamin B2 + B3 + B5, magnesium, manganese and potassium, which pretty much affects every organ system and all aspects of our health.
4️⃣ MOOD ENHANCING
Coffee acts as a mild antidepressant (as it produces serotonin, dopamine and noradrenaline). 🌈 It can boost happiness, but too much can enhance anxiety (don’t over-sip).
🙉 COFFEE CAN ACTUALLY BE A GOOD THING! 🎉
Nothing else comes close to providing as many antioxidants as coffee. While fruit + veg also has tonnes of antioxidants, our body seems to absorb the most from coffee!? 😛 To get the most benefits, I would suggest having your coffee black or with almond milk instead of the loaded sugary lattes 🤗.
AND DID YOU KNOW: Having it 45-60 minutes before a training session can increase focus and endurance 😈! With that in mind, I’m going to caffeinate and get to the gym 💦! My favourite is a LONG BLACK with a dash of ALMOND MILK + cinnamon (of course) ☕️.
