I overheard a conversation at the gym (fine, I was eavesdropping, same/same) this morning between a trainer and her client that went like this:
"We had some friends over for lunch on Sunday and I said to them, 'well if I have to eat chicken breast and salad so do you', so that's what I made them. But then my husband made this baked cheesecake - now I love cheesecake, I love all cake, but I didn’t have one single bite".
I believe it was meant to be an inspiring tale of self control and restraint, but all I heard was misery and deprivation and fuck that shit.
Can we just be clear here that no one HAS to eat chicken breast and salad. That is not an obligation for anyone. If you really like a bit of chicken and greenery and it makes you feel good and happy eating it then great, fucking do that. But if you're weeping into your bowl of chook tit and rabbit food and wishing it was a big fat slab of baked cheesecake that you’re 'not allowed' then I reckon you should probably reevaluate some of your life choices. .
Diet mentality can eat a bag of dicks. In my experience, for most of us human type people, deprivation never goes well, eventually you'll find yourself face first in a family sized cheesecake that you could have just had one slice of and been happy with. Life is too short for that shit and it certainly doesn't have to be that miserable or complicated. Eat your damn greens, enjoy some really good quality treats in moderation and go on with your business.
After listening to that miserable little chat I came home and ate a piece of this fucking amazing Lime Cheese(less) cake for lunch to remind myself I'm alive and pretty bloody happy about it. It was ace. The end. .
Heute gibts mal Schokoriegel zum Frühstück 😇😋 naja nicht ganz. Ich hab gestern die fat-bars von @my_keto_journal ausprobiert. Gehen so. Also sind okay, für meinen Geschmack etwas zu trocken und irgendwie fehlt was, von daher gibt's hier nicht das Rezept. Die Idee finde ich allerdings sehr gut, von daher bastel ich demnächst mal selbst an sowas rum. Muss auch unbedingt einen Weg finden die mit Schoko zu überziehen und dabei ne dünne Schicht zu haben 😅
🇬🇧 Tried the fat bar recipe by @my_keto_journal last night. Today I'm having two for breakfast. They are okay, not 100% what I would be looking for in a fat bar, a little dry, maybe the baking time. But that's just gonna be a bit of tweaking. Also need to find a way to cover them in a thin layer of chocolate 😅

So last nights dinner everyone finished with sorbet or ice cream. No fresh cream on the menu so I declined but made the fatal mistake of having a couple of spoonfuls. I woke up with mouth ulcers. All because of the sugar. Why? Oh why does this happen? Answers on a post card please..

Sorry been on a bit of a break. Back for a bit now until the next time life gets a bit busy. I've been eating okish but a bit too much sugar and some extra carbs, time to get back on track. I know it doesn't look like a lot of food but as always the drawing make it all look so small and everything I eat is very high in calories, that bone broth is super rich and you can cut it with a knife when it's cold and my dinner basically had half a block of butter in it.
“I eat healthy, but I’m not losing fat”.. sound familiar? .
. ‘Healthy’ foods still have calories;,
be that avocado brunches,.
grazing on healthy nuts,.
Snack packets of raisins,.
A dollop of nut butter in oats.
or a Leanin15 coconut oil laden recipe: still calories. -
The low sugar granola is much the same calories as any other. .
If your aim is fat loss, calories are key. You can’t eat a calorie surplus of healthy foods and expect fat loss 🙃
I’m not anywhere near where I want to be on the scale. This though motivates me to continue going! 2/23/18 on the left and 5/21/18 on the right. I never thought I’d ever show this picture but if it motivates just one person it’s so worth it! This is what three months into keto looks like. Barely any gym time, just cut my carbs and sugars! Literally people if I can do this you can too!!! Stay #motivated 💪🏼👍🏼
