14 miles down! Escaped for the night and hung out in the woods by the river ⛺️ fell asleep to the soothing sound of water, walked through about 20 creeks, one being too deep to cross on rocks so we hiked the remaining three miles with wet boots. only to dry them over the fire for the rest of the night. first backpacking trip of the season down, I’m all smiles and dirty feet
Y’all. I used to H A T E salads. It was a giant bowl (or plate) of greens and raw veggies. For someone that despises almost all raw veggies, the word salad made me want to gag. And then I realized I can put whatever I want on top of greens and call it a salad.
Spinach, kale, strawberries, almonds, chicken & apple sausage, and dairy free cheese. 😍
I will eat salad until it is coming out my ears if I can eat it this way! Just saying.
Flying into Seattle from London today over the Canadian Rockies and North Cascades got me feeling ALL the mountain feels! So beautiful! How lucky am I to be able to know this beautiful part of the world! Although there is still quite a lot of snow up there... 🤞🏼 for some super snow melt soon! Just a flying visit to Washington state today as we are on our way South to the sun for some R&R ☀️ but I will be back very soon! 🇺🇸__________________________________________________
I’m sitting here scrolling through Instagram looking and everyone in the mountains and the sun, wishing it was me. I’ve always been the girl to get up and go, whenever I needed to breathe, I fled to the outdoors, regardless of what was going on. But here’s the thing about growing up, sometimes you have to sit down and grind, not just on the days you want to, on the days that you don’t. It’s the days you put in extra that you look back and say, this is why I’m here.
Franklin Falls & Denny Creek// Hikes 14 and 15 of the #52HikeChallenge ! These were such beautiful hikes. I’ve avoided them for years because they’re over crowded 99% of the time and I like desolation and summits. However, getting a very early start and with most people camping this weekend, it was bearable!! Franklin- 2 miles RT/ 400’ elevation gain/ 2600’ elevation ⚫️ Denny- 6 miles RT/ 1345’ elevation gain/ 3642’ elevation!
Sadly I am not out exploring on this long holiday weekend so instead I've been re-living the MOST AMAZING weekend I shared with these beauties last weekend. We all met up for a weekend getaway hosted through @womenwhoexplore and yours truly. We had so much fun exploring waterfalls, hot springs and Crater Lake together. It was definitely a weekend where memories were made that will last a lifetime. ❤️
This photo would be super sweet if Toddy was actually looking at me with true love.. But really I was opening a bag of almonds and the crinkling got him thinking he was getting a treat 🤣🤷🏻♀️

My husband grew up in Idaho. This weekend we are here for a high school graduation for his cousin’s boy and we are going to another celebration to honor his great aunt who passed away this year. As I get older, I appreciate these milestones on such a different level. It’s such a gift to have families get together to laugh and cry. So grateful.
Hair flips were not very successful this day (and by not successful I mean they looked a bit nuts with my hair sticking straight up in the air) but I do like this shot. Kind of got some mermaid hair going 🤷🏼♀️ #hairflipfriday
