The weather is getting nicer and it’s almost beach season! 👙☀️ and the reality is this is the time a year where people really start looking for quick fixes and forget to step back ✋🏼 and remember that this process takes time. You can work your ass off for a very long time and still see no results in the areas that you want. Why is that? 🤔 Fat reduction is NOT a thing... you put in all the work and follow your program perfectly and you still may not see the exact results you want to see... and that doesn’t matter. You can’t control that. At all. But you know what you can control? You can control your decision not to ever give up. Stay the course. Trust the process. And NEVER give up... and guys, discouragement? - NOT a reason to give up. That is going to happen regardless. It is impossible to go your entire life never being discouraged... I also wanted to point out that your progress will not be a straight line. You’re going to go up, down, side to side and that is completely normal. The best strategy against this is: 1.) Knowing your triggers... knowing what’s going to derail your progress and avoiding those things from happening. 2.) Having a very tailored strategized plan of how you will respond when you are derailed to get you back on track! 💪🏽 3.) Remember that you are human, you’re not the first to go through what you are going through and you won’t be the last... what you are experiencing is normal and you just need to let go of what you can’t control and put your energy where you truly want it. STOP being so hard on yourself. Pick up from where you are and move forward. Everyday. That is what you’re responsible for.
And remember, if it sounds too good to be true. It probably is. 👌🏼💯

Today I was reminded of just how important it is to speak up for yourself, even if you feel over powered. Emotional abuse is a very real thing in many relationships and it’s SO important to talk about it because it’s not healthy! You’re not alone! If someone belittles you, blows up in your face with anger because you stated how you feel, or you feel like you can’t communicate with them honestly without there being a fight, it’s time to get some help. Talk to a friend, go for a walk to think, do something that makes you feel okay. If you’re struggling with this just know you’re not alone and we all have days were life isn’t all perfect but I promise you it WILL get better💛
To make myself feel better, I decided to bake☺️ I had some left over pumpkin in the fridge after I made pumpkin bread earlier in the week and instead of letting that go to waste, I whipped up these little gems😋
Who doesn’t love a good chocolate chip cookie?🤔 These are vegan, refined sugar free, and insanely tasty you might eat all the dough before it’s baked🙊 Don’t say I didn’t warn you😉🍫
For the cookies: .preheat oven to 350. In a bowl mix together 1/4 c vegan butter, 1/4 c canned pumpkin, 1/4 c apple sauce, 2 T maple syrup, 1/2 c coconut sugar, 2 T plant milk. Then add in 1 1/4 c all purpose flour, 1 t baking soda, 1 t baking powder, 1/4 c oats. Gently fold in your favorite choc chips and bake for around 9/10 minutes!😋
🚨 BOMB ASS (protein) SALAD ALERT 🚨
If I had a nickel for every time someone called my salads rabbit food 🤦🏻♀️- but if eating like this is for rabbits, rabbits know wtf is up. 🤷🏻♀️
I didn't have time to meal prep Sunday and I found myself at lunchtime Monday with nothing but a grapefruit and hard boiled egg. So, I ran to the store, and bought all the fixins for a (vegan) salad I'd knew I'd love to eat all week: • chopped kale
• chopped broccoli and cabbage slaw
• 1 box of mushrooms
• 4 tomatoes • alfalfa and radish sprouts
• shredded carrots • 1 red onion • 2 avocados
• vegan, gluten free "chick'n"
I had enough ingredients to make a BIG FAT salad every day and the only thing I had left over was a quarter of a bag of kale left that I'll use in smoothies- which means I ate all those veggies and proteins in just 4 days (and happily!) I didn't get bored of this lunch for a single second bc each day I made it a little different- adding cilantro, tapatio, lime, chia seeds, mixed nuts, dried cranberries, Mexican quinoa (not whole 30), different dressings, etc. (I made my own whole 30 dressing I love which I'll post the recipe soon)! .
Meal prepping is all about making yourself not get sick of your meals. I enjoyed every bit of this and got my protein too! There was 10 grams of protein in the "chick'n" alone 💪🏽

Being a mom of two, a wife, a 45 hour work week, a house being rebuilt, and over 10 hours of commuting a week the gym is my sacred spot, my time to do what I want and put myself first, a time where I can let go of anything and everything and live directly in the moment without thinking about who needs to eat, who needs a diaper change, what lunches need to be packed, what’s for dinner, what time it is, what needs to be washed, what needs to be draw up at work etc. .

I’d been craving brownies for a couple weeks and yesterday at the grocery store I saw the boxes of brownie mix, bought one, and came home and made them. I didn’t think twice, I didn’t hesitate or think “should I be eating this?”. I just did it! Eating a brownie doesn’t make you “unhealthy” just like eating a salad doesn’t make you “healthy”. It’s all about balance, listening to your body, and figuring out what’s best for YOU, not what anyone else is doing! Happy Friday eve...go eat some brownies! 😋🙃
Pesto pizza to pep up our Thursdays!! People who say they could never give up cheese have never tried this super simple and SUPER delicious pesto pizza recipe. I like to make my pesto in HUGE batches and then it can be used throughout the week in a ton of ways - or just eat pizza all week because “you have to use up the pesto!!” 😂😂

I have been adding #ashwagandha to my beverages for a few weeks now and although I haven’t noticed many improvements yet, one thing I did notice: every time I have #pinkmoonmilk I sleep so much better 😴. And this cup turned out too perfect not to take a photo 😆☺️👍🏻

🥗🥙🌯🌮🥔 Had you notice I am in love with lentils and potato ? I eat lentils almost every two days, they are so easy to prepare and so healthy too! Such a great source of protein, fibre, iron, potassium and magnesium 💥✌️
