I had my first experience trying Noni Juice this morning, I’m not sure if it’s something I’d want to drink again but the health benefits packs a punch! Really missing the exotic fruit life. Finding it hard to build up an appetite to eat after my travels to Asia. Every food feels boring. I of course eat anyways and keep a more than healthy intake because i know what skipping meals triggers. I’m just not enjoying the food I’m eating and working a 13 hour day doesn’t allow me the time or energy to get creative in the kitchen. Post travel blues 😣🌀💤

The food...it was all new to me and fresh and vibrant and made you question everything you knew about what it means to eat. It was from the earth! and made by the hands of people who cherish that!

I guess this shows how much I’ve truly grown in my #edrecovery over the years. Before I went to inpatient treatment at age 20, I would freak the f*ck out at restaurants. I remember going out to eat with my family at Panera and I just broke down crying in the line because I was paralyzed by not knowing what I “could or should” order. Literally sobbing. And the check out guy was staring at me because my mom was yelling at me to order something and i screamed “IM HUNGRY AND I WANT TO ORDER BUT I CANT EAT ANYTHING HERE!” Gasping for air....I only allowed myself 5 foods to eat that were “safe” so going out to eat gave me the feeling of being locked in a room with no way out

What a drastic change from the present moment, where I am now bored by “safe” foods and crave newness!! Thank god for that. To know the world through the eyes of its cuisine is a privilege I am grateful to know. I feel freed 🇺🇸

I woke up today a mess, and not the good kind of mess, not even a hot mess. I woke up just a plain mess. My head was pounding from anxiety, exhaustion and likely dehydration. I smelled like vomit and the emergency room, and I was rushed to try to get myself put together for a wedding that my husband really couldn’t miss. The last few days with my girl being so ill were hard, and facing it alone is even harder! But then my husband came home and I pulled myself together to make it through the day, and when I came home to a house filled with mess to sanitize, he took over and told me to go work out! As I lay on my cool floor sweating from cardio flow! I am so content! I feel amazing from sweating out the stress and love knowing the in less than 10 months, I don’t have to face everything alone anymore! ❤️

Right now I have a pot of them cooking down to make a sauce to go over the most delicious @longdreamfarm vanilla ice cream that I got from the market this morning. This breakfast looks a little weird, I’ll admit. But I’ve been eating some variation of eggs, kale, hot sauce, arugula, and avocado every damn day. I’m kind of over it.

Even though it was a beautiful morning, I was craving something warm and comforting. I used to make savory oatmeal bowls all the time and I forgot how much I love them!

But since removing grains from my diet, I’ve completely stopped eating oatmeal. Plus, oatmeal reminds me of my hard core bodybuilding style diet days. Steamed broccoli, chicken breast, artificial sweeteners, gum, ground turkey, oatmeal, and protein powders - I avoid those foods at all costs now. Not because they’re bad, but because they trigger dieting behaviors in me. .
So I swapped the oatmeal for warm chia pudding in coconut milk with pumpkin mash, hemp seeds, paprika, and salt! Two over easy eggs on top because yolks are life. In retrospect, I wish I added cauliflower rice to get some veggies in this morning, but that just didn’t happen today.
