My husband and I spent a month in South East Asia earlier this year and Thailand was my favorite stop on our trip.  One of the reasons I enjoyed it so much was because of the food. I couldn’t get enough!

As soon as we got home I started trying to replicate the meals we had while there.  I’ve finally nailed down a Whole30 Thai Green Curry Recipe that I love. And trust me, that’s saying a lot because my expectations for Thai food are a hell of a lot higher now!

🗣Just finished up my morning strength workout. ⚖️ Body weight is currently 203 pounds with a goal summer weight of 195 👌🏼😘. I swim laps twice a week 🏊🏻‍♂️, run 3 times a week 🏃🏽‍♂️, and I do 4 strength & conditioning workouts as well. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Some might think I workout a lot, but I really don’t. Other than the swims, all of my workouts are between 30-60 minutes and I do them from HOME! 🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠

Day 33/80 #round2 #phase2 #booty today’s workout was extremely hard to start. With little to no sleep last night I woke up and then the depression hit me and idk why it just triggered and my heart felt so heavy and the tears started pouring down. 2 hours later I got my workout done and I sweat my ASS off wanting to quit but kept pushing through. Are you like me and HATE waking up? I can sleep a full 8hrs or only have 4 hours and still feel dreadful throughout the waking up process all the same! .

How long we sleep is important for well-rested we feel, but there a number of other factors that can affect how tired you feel in the morning, and you may be picking up on some habits that are affecting your energy the next day. 
One of my bad habits is hitting the snooze button! .

But I just found out that when you fall back asleep for such a short amount of time, When you fall back asleep for such a short amount of time, your alarm wakes you up on the wrong sleep cycle, which can leave you feeling more tired than you began, which can leave you feeling more tired than you began. .

I've been reading this awesome book called The 5 Second Rule - in it the author explains a ritual she discovered to help override our own thought process that has us block ourselves from making better decisions because we let ourselves come up with excuses of why to or not to do something. One of her examples is her chronic use of the snooze button! She began counting down from 5 and jumping out of bed so not to let herself convince herself to stay in bed that little snooze longer. .

I've started doing this and it actually helps! 
There are other bad habits that can affect your sleep:

1. Being on your phone or watching TV before bed
2. Irregular bed times
3. Drinking alcohol before bed
4. Eating late
5. Drinking coffee in the afternoon
6. Not eating enough fruits and vegetables (nutritional deficiencies)

#motivationmonday I read this quote and think of the tortoise and the hare, slow and steady wins the race. Well the race for us is our fitness, work, and life goals. No need to rush for big improvements, work for the small improvements with everything. We all know at times when we try and rush through things and finish them fast we either mess up, end up getting frustrated, and end up quitting because we aren’t seeing what we want in a short period of time we are expecting results. -

Be like the tortoise. Take it slow, make slow progress over time, do not rush and most definitely DO NOT QUIT! It takes time to see results and though you may not notice the little progress you are making with your goals, the little progress will all add up and make big results. Think of it as math... 1+1=2 right? Well keep taking it slow and making that little progress because 1+1 turns into 2, and each week you keep adding 1 to the equal total and the number increases to a bigger number. #PR this morning for @kristenbellon 190*2 on bench press weighing 134 lbs. One pause and then touch and go. She thend did an easy 170*4 which was also a personal best!

For what the gym takes and what taxes take. You break down what you made for the hour plus the session. You're better off training your friends and getting paid directly.
